Voices is a public charter school network with a mission to prepare all students for the challenges of higher education through the context of an academically rigorous dual-language program. Every student, regardless of home language, graduates bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.
Role Summary
The Instructional Aide assists individual students and/or groups of students by providing a high quality, personalized education program, per Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), under the direction of the Special Education Teacher and/or Speech & Language Pathologist, while upholding the core values of Aspire Public Schools.
Key Responsibilities
Provide services, supports and interventions directly to students, under the guidance and daily supervision of the Special Education teacher/s.
Implement the IEP with fidelity (i.e. provide 1:1 support to student in classroom, support student/s with toileting needs, assist with health-related needs (g-tube, feeding, administration of medication) (under supervision of school nurse) and assist with the physical needs of students (lifting/ assisting with mobility, implementing student stretching/exercise routines.)
Implement and progress monitor behavior intervention plans in accordance with the IDEA.
Assist Special Education teacher/s in supporting students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) within the school setting.
Consistently track, per the benchmark dates in the IEP goal/s and input data for individual students.
Create and implement instructional materials that are accommodated/modified for individualized students.
Regularly collaborate with members of the IEP team (GE teacher, Education Specialist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Instructional Aides, Administrators, Program Specialist and Other Service providers.)
For students with Behavior Supports and Services:
Collaborate with members of the IEP team (GE teacher, Education Specialist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Instructional Aides, Administrators, Program Specialist and Other Service providers) to ensure Behavior Intervention Plans are implemented with fidelity.
Provide support to students receiving mental health services that require behavioral support, per Individual Education Plans.
Implement student responsibility and monitoring plan/s to facilitate student independence.
Teach student/s behavior strategies per the Behavior Intervention Plan.
Implement de-escalation techniques, including Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies.
Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively to achieve Voices' vision
Work cooperatively with staff toward resolution of mutual concerns
Collaborate closely with other teachers, education specialists, and the principal to improve own and others' instructional practices
Learn and use co-teaching practices to support instruction for all
Other duties as assigned
Professional Activities:
Actively participate in professional development activities, including retreats
Foster strong school morale and academic achievement
Participating in collaborative with teacher and parents, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions, events, and trips
Perform duties such as cafeteria, yard duty, traffic duty and monitoring/interacting with students during the work day as assigned for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
Supervise, instruct, and lead students independently as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Voices Academies Associate Teacher candidates will have the following
Required Qualifications:
Having a High School Diploma AND one of the following:
Two years of college (48 units), or
A. A. degree (or higher), or
Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction, o
Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision and values of Voices Academies with a deep commitment to improving the lives of students from low-income communities
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Outstanding written, speaking, and organizational skills with experience interacting with a broad range of stakeholders
Commitment to accelerated educational progress of children
Ability to work independently, have flexibility, and demonstrated success in working with school-age children
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment; working efficiently, and exercising excellent judgment in making decisions
Works well with in a high pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
BA degree or Substitute Permit
Knowledge of and experience working with low-income communities preferred
Experience or commitment to public education, social justice, efficacy and equity
Understanding of dual immersion instructional practices and school design and the unique characteristics of public charter schools is a plus

Role Summary
Voices Academies' Principal will be an inspiring and motivating instructional leader who can work independently. Reporting to the Principal Manager, the Principal forms part of the school's leadership team. The principal oversees Teachers, Associate Teachers, and school support staff. The ideal candidate will have an unwavering commitment to ensure that students receive quality instruction, make accelerated educational progress, and reach or exceed their academic goals. The Principal is responsible for Voice's academic, operational, fiscal, and organizational management and success. This includes supervising instruction and conducting the evaluation program for all staff. This interaction will include providing guidance and support in the classroom as appropriate. The Principal interacts extensively with teachers, staff, students, parents, the CEO, Board members and the community through site-based management. Additionally, the Principal will be expected to meet specific performance objectives which may include such areas as academic, and financial goals in accordance with the Charter.
Key Responsibilities
Principal:
Submits to the CEO recommendations relative to all matters requiring Board action or attention, together with the materials needed for informed decisions
Reports on school operations to COO
Interview, Train, supervise and evaluate staff
Develop and implement a school-wide and individual staff development plan and provides ongoing support and coaching to teachers to help them meet their individual professional development plan goals
Coordinates the work of all school educators and volunteer staff
Advise the CEO or/and COO regarding the leave, classification, resignation, promotion, suspension or dismissal of school employees
Assigns personnel within the school in accordance with Board policy
Maintains appropriate channels of communication within the school and ensures that staff is informed about relevant federal, state, and county laws, policies, regulations and procedures, and matters related to the improvement and welfare of the students
Plans, leads, and conducts staff professional development and staff meetings
Manage and/or oversee all daily school operations, including student admissions and discipline, facilities, food service, front office, school scheduling, etc.
Students and the educational program:
Serve as the schools' instructional leader leader, including ensuring that the school mission and instructional program are being effectively implemented in each classroom
Monitor the school's instructional and operational accountability, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting school and student performance data
Use this data (instructional and operational accountability) to develop school priorities and to drive decision-making
Enforces compulsory attendance laws
Continuously observes the instructional program and provides the CEO with regular evaluations of school programs and student progress
Studies the curriculum and makes decisions regarding the course of study, major changes and time schedules, and sound programs
Under appropriate circumstances, recommends to the Board a student's suspension or expulsion
Participates in student study teams and IEP meetings
Non-instructional Operations:
Maintains and updates adequate census and scholastic records, business and property records, and personal records as applicable
Annually prepares and submits to the Financial Department the school's budget for the upcoming year, revises this budget or takes other related action as the Board /CEO designates
Approves all expenditures in accordance with Board policy and within Board-approved appropriate limits
Makes recommendations to the CEO regarding the maintenance, safety, improvement and/or expansion of school facilities, sites, and equipment
Community:
Represents and advocates for the Board in relationships with city, county and state governments, private agencies, and the school community
Sees that the community is informed about school matters through appropriate informational materials
Serves on local committees such as ELAC, VPAC, Schools Leadership, etc.
Participates in appropriate community organizations and functions to obtain support for the attainment of school goals
Hears complaints against the school and solves controversies between employees or between employees and students or parents/guardians
Develops and maintains cooperative, collaborative working relationships with and among various stakeholders, including staff, students, families, Board members, District personnel, and the broader community
Facilitates and builds community among people from diverse backgrounds and perspective Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Voices Academies Principal candidates will have the following
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Education or related field
CA Teaching Credential. Out-of-state equivalent credentials are accepted if they are transferable to a California credential. Mandatory enrollment in the next available Induction cycle upon hiring.
Valid California Administrative Services Credential required or currently enrolled in an admin credential program.
A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the appropriate TK-8 grade level.
Demonstrated classroom-level achievement results
Skilled in fiscal management
Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and values of Voices Academies with a deep commitment to improving the lives of students from low-income communities
Minimum three years working with similar student and community demographic

Summary
The Program Specialist serves as a key member of the Special Education team, supporting Education Specialists, school leaders, and related service providers to ensure instructionally effective and legally compliant special education services across the Voices network.
This role provides specialized coaching, IEP compliance oversight, program development, data and systems support, and direct district-level guidance to Education Specialists enrolled in credentialing programs. The Program Specialist also serves as an LEA representative for IEP meetings and monitors the quality and compliance of special education service delivery, documentation, and SEIS data.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership & Program Support
Provide cycles of SPED-specific coaching, classroom observations, and actionable feedback to Education Specialists and support staff.
Support the implementation of high quality instruction, accommodations, modifications, and MTSS aligned intervention for students with disabilities.
Collaborate with principals and school teams to develop strong school-based systems for progress monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and inclusive practices.
Serve as a district-level support provider for Education Specialists in credentialing programs, including guidance, observations, documentation, and coordination with preparation programs.
IEP Coordination & LEA Responsibilities
Serve as LEA representative for IEP meetings, as needed, ensuring meetings are lawful, student centered, and aligned to Voices policies and SELPA guidance.
Support school teams in drafting, revising, and implementing high quality, compliant IEPs.
Coach and support Education Specialists in case management, timelines, service delivery, and documentation.
Data Systems, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Manage and monitor SEIS data entry, accuracy, and ongoing data integrity for assigned sites.
Conduct regular audits of IEPs, service logs, assessments, and compliance indicators; provide corrective action guidance.
Track caseloads, timelines, and service delivery to ensure adherence to IDEA, state regulations, and SELPA procedures.
Participate in the development and refinement of special education systems, protocols, and tools across the network.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with the Director of Special Education, school leaders, and the Voices Instructional Partners team to ensure alignment of services and staffing.
Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of Education Specialists and related service providers.
Collaborate with families, community partners, and SELPA staff to support positive relationships and problem solving.
Support complex or high-needs cases, including manifestation determinations, disciplinary procedures, and NPS/RTC placements when applicable.
Professional Development
Design and deliver SPED related professional learning for Education Specialists, paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and leaders.
Support training in SEIS, compliance expectations, bilingual/multilingual learning needs, inclusive practices, and behavior supports.
Mentor new special education team members to ensure strong onboarding and professional growth.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of current federal/state law, instructional best practices, and research related to special education and dual language learners.
Support families in understanding their rights, navigating services, and partnering effectively with schools.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of students, staff, and the Voices mission.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Clear California Education Specialist Credential.
Minimum 3 years' experience in Special Education (teaching, case management, or related services).
Demonstrated ability to provide instructional leadership and/or coaching to educators.
Experience working with multilingual learners.
Strong knowledge of IDEA, California Education Code, and SELPA procedures.
Proficiency with SEIS or similar SPED data systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish

CAMPBELL UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT Resource Specialist - Special Education JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide an individual educational program to assist students in remediation of or compensation for disabilities toward functioning in a regular classroom situation. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide instruction and assistance to individuals with exceptional needs, and their parents. • Provide consultation, resource information, and materials regarding individuals with exceptional needs to their parents and to regular education staff members. • Provide consultant services to regular classroom teachers in the identification and assessment of learning and behavioral patterns in pupils. • Provide consultation and assistance in the utilization of evaluation data for the modification of instruction and curriculum. • Provide consultation services in the application of classroom management techniques. • Provide consultant services as to resources (appropriate to individuals with exceptional needs) to regular staff members, parents, and guardians. • Consult with regular classroom teachers and students as to their acceptance of students with exceptional needs. • Coordinate special education services with the regular school programs for each individual with exceptional needs enrolled in the resource specialist program. • Coordinate referral and assessment procedures as requested. • Assist in the coordination of School Appraisal Team meeting. • Coordinate instructional planning - i.e., the development and implementation of Individual Educational Programs for individuals with exceptional needs. • Coordinate the implementation of special education services provided to individuals with exceptional needs. • Assist in the coordination of Designated Instruction and Services. • Coordinate the collection of relevant information for those students referred to the School Appraisal Team. • Coordinate the organization and distribution of media and materials for both resource and regular classrooms. • Coordinate individualized instruction and activities of the Resource Specialist Program with regular classroom curriculum. • Coordinate in-service workshops and workshops for staff and/ or parents. • Coordinate follow-up activities to ensure service delivery to all individuals with exceptional needs. • Coordinate instructional aids assigned to resource specialist. • Delegate activities for instructional aids. • Provide in-service as necessary for assigned instructional aids. • Schedule and monitor School Appraisal Team Referral Procedures in accordance with legal requirements. • Monitor the development of Individual Educational Plans, and conduct review meetings in accordance with legal requirements. • Process all information leading to approval of services by child's parent or guardian. • Provide leadership for assuring full compliance with legal requirements. • Monitor pupil progress on a regular basis. • Participate in the review and revision of individual educational plan as appropriate. • Schedule annual I.E.P. review meeting for each student in the resource program. • Schedule I.E.P. meeting for students in the resource specialist program within 5 days after parent, principal, or other staff member request. • Write all assessments on I.E.P. forms prior to I.E.P. meeting. • Prior to I.E.P. meeting prepare recommendations for goals/objectives to meet assessed needs. • Assess each assigned student annually or semi-annually with diagnostic educational instruments. • Refer regular education pupils who do not demonstrate appropriate progress to the individual education program team. Maintain individual case records and write reports as necessary. • As requested, assess regular education students referred to the I.E.P. team. • Assist in the development and provision of in-service and/or workshop for both regular and special education staff and parents. • Comply with Federal and State special education regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Credential and/or License: Appropriate California Teaching Credential Experience: Three years regular and special education teaching; experience in participation, writing,and implementation of individual programs. Knowledge and Abilities: • Knowledge of principles, curriculum, methods, basic theories, diagnostic instruments, and instructional techniques for K-8 regular and educationally handicapped students. • Knowledge of PL 94-142 requirements. • Trained by Castro Valley Diagnostic Program concepts or willing to be trained. • Ability to gain and maintain rapport with students, staff, and parents and to work cooperatively; willingness to participate in individual educational program meetings at a time convenient with parents in accordance with PL 94-142 regulations. • Ability to work cooperatively with classroom teachers; to coordinate and supervise implementation of Individual Educational Plan (I.E.P.). • The understanding and interpretation of appropriate assessment tools. • Ability to select and to modify appropriate instructional methods and materials; ability to apply behavioral management techniques to classroom environment; ability to enhance social and emotional development of exceptional individuals within educational environment of the regular classroom. • Ability to work cooperatively with parents; be knowledgeable of basic home enrichment and home management techniques to help special education children in their homes. Ability to council parents in areas related to special education children to include strengths and weaknesses and child's needs and goals. To be aware of community sources available to parents.
