The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordination and oversight of geometric design projects. What you'll be doing: Provide assistance to engineers using OpenRoads Designer to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title and detail sheets on production sets of plans Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway/bridge projects Work with engineers to develop 3D models using both OpenRoads Designer Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance Research design options and documents findings Coordinates assignments with project team and supervisor Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Be a team player and assist other groups as needed What you need to have: Associate degree from a technical or four-year school Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field is preferred 3-15 years of prior experience with roadway drafting Under 3 years experience will be evaluated if applicant has a degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar field Experience in OpenRoads Designer is preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
