We are currently searching for an experienced Project Administrator to join our Southeast Region in Florida.

What you'll be doing:
Provide plan review and project management for the FDOT and/or the local municipalities in this region
Responsible for organizing activities, schedules, and reporting in support of assigned projects
Prepare, issue and track project documentation such as contracts, change orders, client sign-off, etc. for all phases of assigned project work
Prepare correspondence and documents with clients, vendors and regulatory agencies as required
Assist with other documents such as invoices and purchase orders and communicate with outside resources, when needed
Preparing and/or editing meeting minutes and presentations
Assist with project submittals and bidding activities
Provide support to project team as requested
Support our team and client by providing technical and administrative support
Market local municipal clients
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture OR a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience, which could include an Associate's Degree and 4 years of industry experience
At least 5 years of progressive responsibility within industry

What you need to have:
Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Florida required
5 - 10 years of relevant engineering design experience and FDOT experience
Relevant municipal engineering experience including designing pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater treatment facilities
Experience performing hydraulic modeling (using programs such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Understanding of national bridge inspection methods, Specifications for the Nation Bridge Inventory (SNBI), evaluations, and report preparation is required
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of FDOT applications is preferred
Ability to travel out of state, overnight stays may be required
Ability to climb ladders, and work at heights.
Operation of areal platforms such as bucket trucks and under bridge inspection vehicles is preferred
Dive training and certification are preferred but not required
Boat operation skills are preferred.
Successful Completion of FHWA/NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges is required with the completion of FHWA/NHI 130053 Bridge Inspection Refresher Training preferred if 130055 was completed more than 5 years ago
Successful completion of FHWA/NHI 130078 Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM), FHWA/NHI 130091 Underwater Bridge Inspection, and FHWA/NHI 130087 Inspection of Ancillary Highway Structures are highly preferred

Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software for work involving setting up and using spreadsheets, data entry, do basic formatting, including the ability to type quickly and accurately. Permitting with different Regulatory and Water Management agencies
Assisting and preparing project plans using the latest CADD software including but not limited to MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil3D, and/or AutoCADD, among others
Contributing to the preparation and/or modification of considerable scope and complexity engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects
Preparing and assisting in the preparation of project construction details, quantities, cost estimates and project specifications
Reviewing project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirements
Preparing and assisting with the preparation of project schedules
Collaborating across multiple disciplines, subconsultants, and other professionals to successfully deliver quality projects within budget and schedule
Overseeing project design activities, supervising production efforts, and mentoring junior level support staff and other designers
Performing other professional, management, marketing and networking duties as assigned
What you need to have:
Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering (Master's in water resources fields a plus)
Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Florida required
5 - 10 years of relative/progressive drainage/water resources and FDOT experience
Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, Civil3D, Storm CAD, ORD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, GIS and/or SUDA software
Previous FDOT Drainage design experience and strong knowledge of FDOT standards and procedures
Previous experience with Florida DEP and Water Management Districts

What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 15+ years of drainage engineering experience post registration

Experience and ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems

Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent
8+ years of construction experience with 4+ years in roadway/bridge inspection or a Civil Engineering degree and 3 years of road and bridge construction engineering and inspection experience
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames
Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions
Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks
Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds

What you'll be doing:
Perform/supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs

Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule and project constraints
Review shop drawings and other construction related submittals

What you need to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master of Engineering preferred, but not required
Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Florida
10 - 15 years of engineering experience in bridge design
Extensive experience utilizing FDOT specific processes, manuals, or guidance on bridge projects is required, 10 years minimum
Skilled in the use of MicroStation and AutoCAD, experience with OpenBridge Designer a plus
Technical expertise for the layout & design of bridges and related highway structures
Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures
Knowledge of AASHTO and other pertinent bridge design specifications
Post-tensioned concrete design experience a plus

What you need to have:

Management experience with all aspects of a project: grant facilitation, design, bidding, construction administration, and close out to meet project goals on time and on budget
A track record of compliance with the objectives of individual airport master plans, federal grant assurance requirements, FAA and state design standards, and project scopes of work
Knowledge of and experience in the application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction, including runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient knowledge of general office equipment, MS Office, Faarfield, etc.

Possess an active license in good standing and demonstrate knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other relevant ordinances.

Job Summary: The Senior Highway Engineer candidate will be responsible for managing the roadway/highway analysis and design, plans production, specifications, reports, and estimates efforts on large scale conventional and design-build projects for FDOT and county clients. Additional responsibilities include client communication; managing subconsultants; mentoring roadway/highway staff; monitoring labor budgets and schedules for assigned projects; coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications; performing quality control on deliverables; meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects; and leading/supporting marketing and business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university;
Minimum 20 years of experience in roadway/highway engineering;
Florida professional engineering (PE) registration;
Experience managing conventional and design-build projects relating to intersections, arterials, interstates, and interchanges for FDOT and county clients;
Working knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak, and/or OpenRoads Designer;
Experience working with large multi-discipline teams;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Has a diverse background in the management and delivery of both conventional Design-Bid-Build and alternative delivery Adjust Score Design-Build and/or Phased Design-Build projects.
Has served as a Project Manager and/or subject matter expert within an Owner's Representative Contract for a major corridor.
Has Engineer of Record experience in a wide variety of FDOT highway projects, including Limited Access Highways, Tolled Expressways, Urban Arterial Reconstruction and Widenings, and Milling & Resurfacings.
Has experience delivering FDOT District Wide and/or Continuing Services Contracts.
Has well-established FDOT contacts within respective geography.
Has identified and captured a variety of FDOT highway project solicitations.
Has experience in complex interchange and/or alternative intersection design.
Has capability to oversee and review work performed within Bentely OpenRoads Designer.
Has managed and led a high performing highway team.
