Has previous successful coaching experience in baseball. 3. The assistant coach must have knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. 4. Assists athletes in their college or advanced educational selection. FINANCE AND EQUIPMENT: 19. Assists in recommending equipment guidelines as to type, style, color or technical specifications. 20. Properly marks and identifies all equipment before issuing or storing. 21. Assists in monitoring equipment rooms and coaches' offices, authorizes who may enter, issue or requisition equipment. 22. Assists in permitting the athletes to only be in authorized areas of the building at the appropriate times. 23. Assists in examining locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment. 24. Secures all doors, lights, windows and locks before leaving building if custodians are not on duty. 25. Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use. PUBLIC RELATIONS: 26. Helps Head Coach organize parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings. 27. Promotes the sport within the school through recruiting athletes who are not in another sports program and promotes the sport outside the school through news media, little league programs, or in any other feasible manner. 28. Helps Head Coach in maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials, volunteers and fans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will: • Follow the direction and philosophy set forth by the Club with the main focus on individual player development • Have the ability to coach both male and female players, the technical and tactical side of the 4 game models 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11 • Lead team training sessions and in game coaching whilst encouraging a competitive and inclusive team environment • Game scheduling and team administration • Assisting the Club in identifying players and forming teams at Tryouts, twice annually • Coaches are required to participate in educational programs such as clinics and Club meetings and assist the Club with seasonal Age Group Training Required Skills: • Previous coaching experience is required • Passionate about kids and youth soccer • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Be fun, energetic and enthusiastic • Must be able to pass a background check, Safe Sport and all State requirements • Must be available to work on evenings and weekends • Be confident and capable of dealing with parents and upholding the STAR Rush philosophy Desired Skills: • Goalkeeper coaching experience / qualifications • Futsal experience / qualifications • Experience with 3-5 year old players Benefits: Competitive pay will be determined by licenses and experience. Position: This is a part-time, 1099 contractor position, working during the spring and fall seasons. Spring (March, April, and May); Fall (August, September, October) with optional summer, winter and 1:1 training opportunities available.
