This position is responsible for operating a variety of machines and equipment in our manufacturing facility. The roles are including but not limited to Automat Operator, Bailing Operator, Labelling Operator, Knitting Operator, Lamination Operator, Applicator Operator, Slitting Operator, Wicketer Operator, Converting Operator, Ink Technicians, and Print Press Assistants.
Essential Duties:
• Operate various machines and equipment to manufacture products according to established procedures and quality standards
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure that they are functioning correctly
• Inspect finished products to ensure that they meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor repairs as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in lean initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiencies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Basic mathematical skills including understanding measurements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift that varies by location 36/48 bi-weekly breakdown
Education and Experience:
• Basic math and reading skills normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment operating machinery is preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Standing and walking 90% of the shift
• Able to regularly lift 60 lbs.
• Be able to lower rolls of plastic film to the floor and pick them up with a power lift (150 to 225 lbs.)
• Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
• Have eye/hand/foot coordination
• Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 90+ depending on the season and the department
• Requires the ability to see, hear, touch, and smell

Make necessary preparations and adjustments to ready the machine for operation, including installing various cutting tools during machining cycles as authorized

Assist planners or programmers in determining the final numerical control program as authorized
Mount and check cutting tools in holders, ensuring proper loading in machine magazines or spindles

Load, preload, and manually position fixtures at designated program stops
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
Sets up and operates hydraulic bellows forming machinery. Responsible for the clean up of the machine/ area upon completion of job.
Identifies parts after bellows are formed. Performs minor assembly of parts.
Train on bellows sheet metal machines.
Performs rework/ repair and other associated operations relating to the work described above.
Assists higher classified Bellows Machine Operators as required.
Assemble and size tubes.
Clean and Oven Dry parts.
Trim, vent hole and set live length.
Follow all Senior policies and procedure.

Produce high quality parts by overseeing all aspects of the thermoforming process. Meet or exceed all targets in safety, quality, scrap, and efficiency through continuous monitoring of the process while making minor to intermediate skill level adjustments as needed.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
1. Certifications and Training:
a. Review and comprehend instructions on the Quality Requirement Sheet (QRS)
b. Train as Product Auditor and cover as necessary
c. Complete Machine Operator Front and Machine Operator Back training
d. Operate pallet jack
e. Achieve walk behind electric stacker certification, operate, and perform and record inspections
f. Achieve lockout/tagout certification
2. Area of Responsibility:
a. Responsible for up to 5 (five) thermoformers when carrying out Front responsibilities
b. Responsible for up to 8 (eight) thermoformers when carrying out Back responsibilities
c. Responsible for up to 3 (three) thermoformers when carrying out Front and Back responsibilities
3. Maintain workflow, as to not disrupt production; reducing downtime:
a. Stock machine centers with raw materials
b. Monitor staged material stock levels
c. Perform plastic roll change
d. Perform wipe outs as necessary
e. Log all material rolls in the roll log/scrap report as used
f. Monitor scrap levels and remove scrap plastic from machines and transport to designated areas
g. Palletize shipping containers
h. Transport finished product to designated areas
i. Prepare materials to be returned to inventory
j. Perform setup of minor equipment (i.e. tapers)
4. Safety:
a. Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain safe work area.
b. Keep area clean and organized per food safety standards.
c. Resolve safety issues and report them immediately to your manager/supervisor.
5. Communication:
a. Contact the Production Lead or Supervisor when a thermoformer will be down for a prolonged period of time to ensure reassignment of product auditor(s) in a timely manner
b. Communicate all information at shift hand off to the incoming operator
c. Communicate needs to warehouse personnel for material, cardboard boxes, and scrap bin removal to ensure optimal running of the manufacturing lines
6. Maintain all operator reports and keep record of material data
7. Assist in OTJ training

As a Saw Operator, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team, utilizing your core skills in mechanical knowledge, manufacturing, basic math, and machining to operate saw equipment efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather extrusion needed from racking
Measure and cut aluminum to work instructions
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
Requirements:
Experience working in a production or fabrication environment is preferred
Basic reading, writing, and math skills as well as the ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Ability to assemble and fabricate components
Understanding of tooling and tooling requirements for different machining operations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
Reliability and proven attendance at past jobs

Physical Demands:

Qualifications

What you will do
The SS Welder Operator reports to the Stainless Steel (SS) Unit Production Supervisor. Using a TIG-welding process (by machine) this person welds stainless steel cylinders; in addition, they will train to perform hand-weld repairs. In addition to operating the welding equipment, the person assists with the responsibilities of a Machine Operator I. The company reserves the right to rotate employees to other departments or work assignments within the organization as needed based upon skill set, production needs, etc.
How you will do it
Operates highly complex machinery used in the production process. From prints, adjusts and tig welds stainless steel shells and components.
Performs semi-complex machine set-ups; loads welder with component parts to be welded.
Ensures machines are operating at required capacity and that production requirements are met.
Monitors the performance of equipment; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems in order to maintain efficient operations.
Observes machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance production. Monitors controls of welder (temp, cycle time, amps-volts, etc.)
Recognizes process upset; both special and common cause, and notifies the appropriate person.
Assists in preparing and maintain scorecards, Gemba Boards, etc., so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.
Assists maintenance team in basic troubleshooting and equipment malfunctioning diagnostics.
Maintains equipment and performs preventive maintenance notifying Group Leader/Maintenance personnel if welding machine malfunctions.
Visually inspects welds to assure that blueprints, code and quality standards are met.
Supporting the training and development of peers within the organization.
Performs assembly, packaging, housekeeping and other related duties as may be assigned by the Group Leader or supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. Must be able to read blue prints. Must have previous experience working as a Machine Operator I within Stainless Steel. Must have welding experience and knowledge of TIG welding as would be shown by the passing of a hands-on competency test; the knowledge one might get from a vocational school course is helpful.
