Job Title: Sailing Program Facilitator FLSA Status: Seasonal- Summer Camp Staff
Department: Camp Services Reports To: Program Manager
Job Purpose: The Sailing Program Facilitator will implement the GSCTX Sailing Curriculum, design lessons as needed, and instruct sailing for sailing programs. The Sailing Program Facilitator will also lead kayaking, canoeing, and other activities when not working with a sailing program as well as assisting in other program areas as needed.
Essential Functions
Facilitates and coordinates all phases of the sailing program in accordance with program description, American Camp Association standards, US Sailing, Camp Sailing Program, and Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Teaching sailing classes, providing innovative and progressive programming for first time and returning participants, and all other activities related to the sailing program.
Works directly with Program Manager and Waterfront Manager daily to ensure clear communication of expectations, needs, records, reports, etc. as needed and requested.
Teaches small craft lessons (canoeing, kayaking) as assigned.
Oversees sailing, canoeing, and kayaking facilities and equipment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained in good working order with usage logs, alerting Program Manager or Waterfront when new equipment or facility repairs are required.
Assists as needed throughout the camp life, acting as a unit counselor as needed, covering breaks, assisting in living units working with unit staff to directly supervise campers, including but not limited to living in units with campers and assisting with nighttime and morning routines.
Assisting with daily, weekly, and end of season camp cleaning responsibilities.
Manages camper behavior, enforcing appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and applying appropriate behavior-management techniques.
Participates in and performs duties within the general camp life, including but not limited to check in, check out, all camp activities, themed days or meals, cookout, and duties at meals.
Ensures camp is providing quality and safe programming for all campers by following all policies, procedures, protocols, and health and safety standards of GSCTX, American Camp Association, Health Department, and Safety Activity Checkpoints
Be a role model for campers and staff in attitude and behavior.
Engages in problem-solving skills, by clarifying desired information, researching, locating and delivering findings and solutions.
Displays professional demeanor, and integrity at all times.

Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2026.
US Sailing Instructor/Counselor Certification or ability to acquire by start of camp.
Adherence to all Personnel Policies for Seasonal Camp Staff.
Exhibits good judgment and risk management assessment skills.
Ability to work with, communicate with and teach children ages six through seventeen.
Must reside on camp property during summer; may be required to live in units with campers.
Ability to make a commitment to the philosophy of Girl Scouting, both nationally and locally.
Ability to effectively interact, work, and collaborate with people of various cultural backgrounds and promote an environment of inclusivity.
Satisfactory results from a criminal background check are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Training in Girl Scout outdoor programs, camp counseling, leadership, and training techniques are preferred.
First aid training is desirable.
Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.
High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting upper body.
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
Strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
Environmental Demands
Continuous outdoor activity and exposure to weather
Willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited equipment and facilities, with daily exposure to sun, heat, and insects.
Willingness to live in camp facilities that may not have AC or in units with campers.
Frequent work under stress and under pressure of deadlines with overlapping projects.
Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate camp staff attire.
Continuous work as a team member and ability to work independently with some supervision.

Job Title: Leadership Program Facilitator

Rate: $400/week
Job Purpose: The Leadership Program Facilitator will enrich the Leadership Program campers' experience by designing and implementing GSUSA leadership-building curriculum material and the three keys of leadership: Discover, Connect, Take Action. The Leadership Program Facilitator will work directly with Leadership Campers in the following programs: Program Aide in Training (PAT), Counselor in Training 1 (CIT 1), Counselor in Training 2 (CIT 2), and Operations in Training (OIT). The Leadership Program Facilitator will design each program with the direction of the Program Manager and Camp Manager.
Essential Functions
Grows future leaders and camp staff by teaching, observing, and assessing Leadership Program campers for the duration of their program.
Design and implement leadership-building curriculum in accordance to the program design and camper needs.
Documents and reports each camper's strengths and progress to the Program Manager as requested.
Participates enthusiastically in all camper activities, including planning and leading those assigned.
Managing camper behavior, enforcing appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and applying appropriate behavior-management techniques.
Assists as needed throughout the camp life, acting as a unit counselor as needed, covering breaks, assisting in living units working with unit staff to directly supervise campers, including but not limited to living in units with campers and assisting with nighttime and morning routines.
Assisting with daily, weekly, and end of season camp cleaning responsibilities.
Manages camper behavior, enforcing appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and applying appropriate behavior-management techniques.
Participates in and performs duties within the general camp life, including but not limited to check in, check out, all camp activities, themed days or meals, cookout, and duties at meals.
Ensures camp is providing quality and safe programming for all campers by following all policies, procedures, protocols, and health and safety standards of GSCTX, American Camp Association, Health Department, and Safety Activity Checkpoints
Be a role model for campers and staff in attitude and behavior.
Engages in problem-solving skills, by clarifying desired information, researching, locating and delivering findings and solutions.

Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2026.
Proven knowledge of Leadership Development required.
Adherence to all Personnel Policies for Seasonal Camp Staff.
Exhibits good judgment and risk management assessment skills.
Ability to work with, communicate with and teach children ages six through seventeen.
Must reside on camp property during summer; may be required to live in units with campers.
Ability to make a commitment to the philosophy of Girl Scouting, both nationally and locally.
Ability to effectively interact, work, and collaborate with people of various cultural backgrounds and promote an environment of inclusivity.
Satisfactory results from a criminal background check are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Training in Girl Scout outdoor programs, camp counseling, leadership, and training techniques is preferred.
First aid training is desirable.
Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.
High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
Preferred 21+ years of age by June 1, 2026.
Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting upper body.
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
Strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
Environmental Demands
Continuous outdoor activity and exposure to weather
Willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited equipment and facilities, with daily exposure to sun, heat, and insects.
Willingness to live in camp facilities that may not have AC.
Frequent work under stress and under pressure of deadlines with overlapping projects.
Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate camp staff attire.
Continuous work as a team member and ability to work independently with some supervision.

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Site Assistant is responsible for assisting with meal planning, preparation, and delivery through Meals On Wheels (MOW), OWBC Seniors Centers, and/or OWBC Head Start programs. This position could become be the primary designated delivery driver for MOW and/or the backup for the lead cook in their absence. The position reports to the Site Director and operates under significant supervision with limited latitude for the use of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist with meal planning/coordinating, preparation, and delivery/distribution
Site Assistant could serve as kitchen lead in the absence of Lead Cook
Site Assistant could serve as PRIMARY meal delivery driver subject to agency requirements for operating company vehicles
Deliver meals to Meals on Wheels participants using personal or OWBC vehicle
Adhere to agency and other policies, practices, and standards related to safety, health, food & handling
Adhere to OWBC, Meals on Wheels, and other regulatory agencies policies and procedures regarding food handling
Wash pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and other kitchen utensils by hand (if required)
Clean/operate industrial kitchen machinery, such as dishwasher, sealer, oven, etc.
Mop and sweep the kitchen and dining area, sanitize areas such as countertops, cabinets, handles, and refrigerators, (and bathrooms if applicable) daily and/or as needed
Empty and clean all trash receptacles
Ensure perishable and non-perishable foods and leftovers are labeled, dated, and properly stored
Assist with general kitchen prep, monitoring, and cleaning.
Assist with MOW/Sr. Ctr. volunteers, and clients.
Assist with food preparation for home delivery or serving on-site congregates
Assist with kitchen management including general cleaning/custodial issues
Assist with menu posting and documenting and tracking kitchen inventory
Ensure refrigerator and freezers are cleaned, defrosted, and temperatures are recorded daily
Provide general office assistance such as answering phones, drafting correspondence, data entry
Assist with the coordination of volunteers for kitchen assistance and meal delivery
Ensure the confidentiality of information about program participants, staff, students, and families
Assist and support the Lead Cook, volunteers, or any other program staff as needed or requested
Could be responsible for opening and closing site.
Responsible for OWBC vehicle maintenance (gas, wash, oil change)
Deliver, set up, clean for Head Start meals
Assist in all areas of the kitchen as needed.
