Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) seek a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Health System Clinician in the Division of Neurology. The position will be employed by the Lurie Children's Medical Group (LCMG) and part of the Operating Unit of Pediatrics. The position will be part of the Lurie Children's Neurology Team at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) in the western suburbs of Chicago.
The Lurie Children's pediatric program at Central DuPage Hospital is the 5th largest pediatric center in metro Chicago and includes a 7-bed PICU, 35-bed Level III NICU, 22 general pediatric beds staffed 24/7 by pediatric hospitalists, a 16-bed pediatric emergency department and extensive outpatient clinics offering 22 pediatric subspecialties. CDH is a pediatric regional referral center with over 500 incoming pediatric transports per year including over 100 neurologic transports per year.
This fully affiliated position will have outpatient clinics at Central DuPage Hospital and will participate in inpatient consults at Central DuPage Hospital shared with four other Lurie Children's pediatric neurologists. Participation in teaching and research conferences at CDH and downtown is encouraged.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must be an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology. The candidate must also have an unrestricted license in the State of Illinois. This is not a J-1 visa qualified position. In addition, the candidate will be required to obtain medical staff membership and privileges at Lurie Children's and any other required health care institution, complete credentialing by managed care organizations and complete certain Human Resources employment processes, including providing proof ability to lawfully work in the United States, a pre-employment background check, employee health screening, and receipt of satisfactory professional references if requested. Responsibilities:
Responsible for recruitment, enrollment, and intake of the assigned number of group members; engage in canvassing and other recruitment activities assigned; assist in developing and implementing community relations strategies.
Responsible for ensuring that recordkeeping and reporting systems are maintained in an up-to-date and accurate manner, and consistent with agency standards; track and record group members' progress consistent with CYC's outcomes matrix and ETO database procedures.
Responsible for facilitation of one or more School-age and/or Teen Groups; develop and implement weekly lesson plans by CYC's P21 curriculum model; ensure safe and appropriate group environment; ensure that designated space and materials are ready in advance of each day's scheduled activities; ensure required program component hours are met and activities are planned consistent with agency outcomes; monitor the progress of individual member goals.
Responsible for assisting with center and agency program evaluation activities as assigned, including periodic supervision and staff meetings, peer reviews, satisfaction surveys, and quality improvement teams; implement recommendations for improvements as required.
Responsible for driving and/or transporting children and youth on agency business.
Responsible for assisting with the involvement of parents and families; ensuring consistent communication with parents of youth members regarding youths' progress; assisting in developing parent and family activities as assigned and by agency standards.
