Ambulates or assists in ambulation of the Residents to and from activities, dining room or other locations as needed. Ensures that activity programming is continued in the absence of the LifeStories Director or LifeStages Coordinator. Answers call lights promptly. Attends all required in-service training sessions and orientations. Respects Residents' rights, dignity and privacy. Ensures Resident dignity and respect by using techniques learned in Memory Care Training to minimize Residents stress and maximize cooperation through dignity and empathy. The Community Aide-I OP assess, plan, and implement care for adult individuals with serious persistent mental illness who reside in long term care. Assist with meal preparation, serving and clean up. Responsibilities: * Leads/co-leads living skills groups, community and wrap up meetings and leisure/recreational activities with supervision. * Supervise and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) for all clients at the LTSR. * Document information pertinent to residents such as: observation of behavior, interventions used and resident response to treatment in the medical record.
