POSITION SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key supporting role in advancing World Relief's Church and Community Engagement strategy. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Coordination & Support
Support the implementation of Volunteer, Church and Community Engagement strategies.
Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and documentation for Volunteers and CCE initiatives, pilots, and projects.
Assist in maintaining clear workflows and communication internally among various programs and externally among local churches and communities.
Resource & Toolkit Development
Support the development and maintenance of Volunteer and CCE toolkits, training resources, and guides for churches, volunteers, and staff.

The Coordinator also manages senior volunteer recruitment and placement, fostering meaningful opportunities for community members aged 55+ to contribute their time and skills in service to others.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement & Outreach (40%)
Represent HRDC at community meetings, events, and trainings to maintain a visible and trusted presence in Park County.
Serve as a local point of contact for all HRDC programs, providing information and promoting access to services through public speaking, outreach, and education.
Collaborate with the Resource Development team to support fundraising, outreach, and community events that reflect the unique needs and strengths of Park County.
Participate in community needs assessments and help identify resources, partnerships, and opportunities that align with HRDC's mission.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, schools, and service providers to support coordinated community response and shared goals.
Work closely with the Communications team to develop local messaging, outreach materials, and service summaries tailored for Park County.
2. Volunteer Coordination (RSVP Program and General HRDC Volunteer Engagement) (30%)
Recruit, interview, and place senior (55+) volunteers through the RSVP program, as well as community volunteers of all ages, in positions that match their interests, skills, and the needs of HRDC programs and partners.
Develop and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and community agencies to identify and create volunteer opportunities, negotiate volunteer s and contracts, and strengthen HRDC's regional volunteer network.
Provide orientation and training for new volunteers and ongoing support to ensure positive experiences, meaningful engagement, and alignment with HRDC's mission and values.
Collaborate with HRDC program staff to understand volunteer needs across the organization, coordinate scheduling, and ensure consistent communication and support for volunteers and staff.
Monitor volunteer placements, collect and analyze data on volunteer hours and impact, and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping using computer-based systems.
Plan and assist with annual volunteer recognition events, community appreciation efforts, and media outreach celebrating the impact of volunteers across HRDC.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Substitution of Education for Experience:There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-08 grade level.

Summary/Objective:
The Culinary Services Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the culinary department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures and assuring resident safety.
Essential Functions:

Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director.
Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
Follow Federal and State regulations and Culinary Services Department policies and procedures.
Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
Assist in arranging trays, loading food carts, and serving meals.
Setting up the dining room and serving residents.
Wash and store dishes.
Follow established reporting procedures for all supply and equipment needs.
Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
Attend in-service educational programs.
Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
Follow defined Infection Control procedures.
Understand the facility's fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Facility's rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to job.
Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director or designee.

Work Environment:
Requires repetitive wrist motion. This position requires lifting, up to seventy-five pounds (75lbs).
Physical Demands:
The Culinary Services Aide stands and walks intermittently throughout the working day, as well as reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, carries, and manipulates various food products, dietary supplies and equipment. The Dietary Aide must have an ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents. Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds and withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes as in entering refrigerated storage areas, working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and at steam tables.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.

Required Education and Experience:
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Ability to read, understand diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments. This position will show a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions. Numerical ability is necessary for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals, as well as good motor coordination and manual dexterity are required for various work routines such as preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment and cleaning work area. The Dietary Aide will be able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency situation and must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
