**About the Role**
We are currently looking for a student to work as an Internal Communications Intern for (SML) Service Market Logistics, NA. The student should be prepared to gain experience and knowledge in various aspects of internal communication.
The Internal Communications Intern will provide support to SML NA communication efforts. This role will assist with key administrative tasks including meeting material preparation, internal communication channel publishing, and employee engagement programs. While primarily supporting the Regional Distribution Centers, this position will also contribute to select initiatives across the SML NA network.
Our goal is to contribute to the student development, as well as providing an opportunity for the student to work in a business environment within the Service Market Logistic (SML) industry. This position will report to the Communications Director, SML NA and support the Byhalia CDC.
**What you will do**
Position Responsibilities:
Content Support
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading internal messages, announcements, newsletters, and digital screen (eBoard) content.
- Help create visual or multimedia content to support internal campaigns (e.g., photos, short videos, graphics).
Channel Management
- Upload and update content on internal platforms such as digital TVs, SharePoint, and email distribution lists.
- Monitor communication boards and displays around sites to ensure content is timely and relevant.
Onboarding & Welcome Kits
- Assemble and prepare welcome packages kits and messaging.
- Help coordinate onboarding-related materials and communication touchpoints.
- Support execution of employee recognition programs including continuous improvement awards in partnership with VPS.
Event & Meeting Support
- Assist in preparing materials and logistics for internal events such as town halls, site visits, team celebrations, and communication campaigns.
- Support visitor hosting by preparing signage, welcome materials, and coordination tasks.
Campaign Assistance
- Help deliver internal engagement campaigns around safety, values, diversity, health & wellness, or community events.
- Collect feedback or engagement metrics when applicable (e.g., surveys, QR code responses).
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain distribution lists.
- Support file organization, content calendars, and tracking logs for communication activities.
Professional Objectives
- Weekly Writing Assignments: Brief written summaries of the learning experiences and project updates will be required.
- Project Presentations: Formal project presentations will be required to be presented to peers, management, and senior leaders within the organization.
- Performance Feedback: Throughout the entire experience, the manager will provide verbal and written feedback on work performance. At the end of the internship, each intern will be given a formal written evaluation based on their work performance.

- Interns are allowed to work up to 30 hours per week during the internship period.

The Role:
Collaborating on innovation challenges, interacting with Industry leaders, attending cross-functional networking events and volunteering for community service activities. Expose qualified candidates to creative careers at General Motors and identify talent for direct positions in creative digital sculpting at Design. The individual will gain an understanding of the aesthetic judgments, technology, production methods, program timelines and materials used in automotive digital sculpting.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with Design, Sculpting and Engineering to interpret sketches and develop a digital model of a future automotive theme using established and emerging digital sculpting best practices and techniques. Present finished models to Design and Sculpting Leadership at midterm and final show events. Support general sculpting assignments within studio environment.
Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in one of the following areas: Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Fine Arts, Sculpture or Ceramics
Must be graduating Dec 2026 - May 2028
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week

Minimum Education and Program Requirements
* Applicants must be currently enrolled in academic courses and pursuing a degree in Communications or Marketing at an accredited school and must have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
* Must be in good academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75/4.0
* Interns are allowed to work up to 30 hours per week during the internship period.

The Role:
The Sales Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of enterprise sales and performance management communication and engagement programs that promote readiness and effectiveness. As part of the Cox Automotive Sales Engagement team and at the direction of the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, this position will write, edit and manage enterprise sales and performance management communications that drive awareness and education around operational and go-to-market changes. Additionally, this individual will provide Sales & Performance Management and Sales Business Office leaders and team members with communications production support and execution - potentially inclusive of communications tool and technology support, web design and content production, and photo and video-editing. The right candidate will be a skilled writer and editor, knowledgeable about a variety of traditional and developing communications channels, a fast learner, a self-starter and a team player.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for sourcing information, writing, editing, and delivering high quality communications to our enterprise salesforce through a variety of channels.
* Identify and implement opportunities to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into messaging workflows, content planning and stakeholder engagement to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Leverage generative AI tools to draft, refine, and personalize communications ensuring speed, consistency and relevance.
* Author sales and performance management communications including, but not limited to, sales leadership communications, newsletter articles, website content, emails, and meetings/events.
* Seek and adapt relevant content for positioning and inclusion within various sales and performance management communications channels and tactics.
* Support ongoing Sales Engagement functional projects and activities, inclusive of preparing and sending large group emails, newsletters and similar entities, posting announcements and stories, and providing back-up support to other team members within the function, as requested.
* Fulfill communications and engagement tactics to meet the strategic and operational goals and objectives of Sales & Performance Management and the Sales Business Office - inclusive of sales communications campaigns, sales newsletters, videos, emails, meetings/events, etc.
* Responsible for day-to-date sales engagement project and communications plan management and execution.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data from campaigns and engagement activity, leveraging AI-driven tools to automate data pull and uncover actionable insights. Utilize advanced analytics to identify trends, key performance indicators, and emerging patterns, enabling proactive decision-making and continuous optimization.
* Prepare regular reporting summarizing communication effectiveness and recommending improvements based on data-driven findings.
* Build and maintain enterprise sales and performance management communications and engagement editorial and collision calendar(s) and playbooks.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 2 years' experience in general communications. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience or 6 years' experience in a related field.
* Expertise in writing, copywriting, and editing.
* Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner.
