Purpose
The Additive Manufacturing Technician position is to support the production of high-quality, precision components through FOD free operations which includes additive manufacturing and post-processing equipment. This role ensures that Additive Manufacturing operations run efficiently; parts consistently meet engineering, quality, and customer specifications, while meeting production targets safely and efficiently.
The Role
The Additive Manufacturing Technician plays a vital role in the daily execution of additive manufacturing (AM) operations. The AM Technician is expected to exemplify our core values and demonstrate operational excellence. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with good mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination with an understanding of production workflows, can adapt to shifting priorities, and is eager to learn and have competency with AM processes. We are currently looking for multiple Production Technicians to join our team in Smyrna, TN.
Job Expectations:
* Receive comprehensive training
* Assemble and install automotive parts to support vehicle production
* Operate wide variety of air and/or battery power tools, hand tools, computerized or mechanical equipment
* Work while walking, standing, reaching, bending, crouching, or kneeling for set periods of time
* Follow directions to work in a collaborative manner within designated timeframes
* Perform safety checks, quality inspections, proactively detect or respond to all safety instructions and alarms
* Work in a fast-paced environment with machine sounds, noises and motorized equipment present.
* Operate finished production vehicles for testing (in some cases, not all)
Position Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years old
* Available for night shift and overtime onsite at our Smyrna plant
* Dependable and punctual attendance
* Demonstrated stable and verifiable work history (experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus)
* Able to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs.
* Adherence to required dress code which includes uniform shirts, pants and/or full leather shoes (steel toe not required).
* Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as ear plugs, gloves, goggles, or other items designated for your workstation.
* English fluency required for effective communication and safety.
