Job Summary and Purpose: The responsibility of the parts representative will ensure that all customers accurately receive the support and customer service needed in the parts and warehouse departments. The person responsible must be detail oriented, able to provide courteous and professional customer service and have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a team compiled of vendors, co-workers and customers. * This position will champion a "Safety First", "Customer Focused" and a "Continuous improvement" culture. * Enforce and adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, and values. * Maintain excellent customer and employee relations. * Work safely at all times. Adhere to all VCES safety guidelines, policies, and practices. Main Tasks/ Responsibilities: * Oversee the front counter parts retail desk: order acceptance and entry, will calls and distribution. * Process emergency part orders in a timely manner. * Assist with inventory management (ordering, shipment, monitoring backorders) and help maintain Showroom displays on a regular basis. * Identify ordered parts with long lead time and obtain through alternate suppliers within price guidelines. Be able to manage and invoice ship direct orders timely. * Maintain accurate documentation of all part orders for customers and file all needed history documentation. * Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit. * Communicate with management on parts availability issues. * Determine pricing on all orders is correct and in accord to company policy. * Conduct daily tracking of outstanding orders and/or shipments. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position: * High School diploma or GED preferred. * 2-4 years of prior work experience (Construction, Warehouse, Automotive industry) preferred. * Possesses a valid California Driver's license. Additional Important Requirements: * Proficient in standard computer systems (Quipware, Microsoft Office Products). * Knowledgeable of warehouse inventory numbering system. * Knowledge in shipping methods, material handling equipment and tools. * Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required. * Able to complete in-house certification for Forklift Operator. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
