The name's first appearance was in a 4.3 L V6 using a "vortex technology" advertisement in 1984.
In 1990, Vortec was purchased by Illinois Tool Works, a Fortune 200 company; and is now part of the ITW Air Management business unit, which, in addition to Vortec products, offers the Paxton Product line of products for drying and blow off.
Vortec Tooling is located in the beautifully restored Colonial Clock building in Zeeland, MI. Our Company was founded in December of 2005 with just 4 employees and has grown now to 16 employees.
