The CDL Shuttle Driver will always provide exceptional service and safety and will ensure the vehicle is cleaned and maintained and meets company standards and brand representation. Skills/Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in construction and at least 6 months articulated dump truck driving experience. Job Knowledge, Ability to attain certifications as required, Fit for Duty, * Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities. Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects. Prepares work by studying and clarifying instructions and diagrams; calculating requirements; gathering supplies. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, position or move loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members Safely move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using articulated dump trucks. Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. This position is also responsible for tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers Employees may operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones with appropriate training provided. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards They may also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble other waste materials Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations Sequoia Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
