What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Plant Operation. Operate plant equipment to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins. Control stockpile inventory of materials.
Inspect Equipment, Structures, and Material. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment and document items in need of repair or service.
Monitor Processes and Materials. Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials and maintain certified products. Remove clogged materials when applicable.
Document and Record Information. Assist plant management with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance. Read and write delivery tickets to determine the mix design called for each load. Issue delivery tickets to customers.
Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment. Assist with maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and other minor repairs throughout the plant when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Skills You'll Need:
Experience. Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
Knowledge of Best Practices. A basic knowledge of the concrete, cement, or construction industry is preferred.

What You'll Do:

Travel and Related Equipment. Communicate with the locomotive operator through the radio regarding coupling cars, uncoupling cars, and operating switches. Operate hand-controlled rail switches, manual hand-wheel brakes, uncoupling levers, and remote control devices.
Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment. Perform minor maintenance activities around the train to improve performance and safety, including replacing heavy coupling and broken knuckles or air brake hoses.
Document and Record Information. Inspect all equipment on cars before movement. Maintain and enter records of price, product, weight, and customer name into computers. Generate bills of sale, dray tickets, and bills of lading.
Perform General Physical Activities. Perform a variety of physical tasks. Assist with the train's loading/unloading and operation, including breaking/making trains and using high-pressure water hoses, pry bars, and shovels. Safely and efficiently operate rail load out through the use of conveyor belts, motors, gearboxes, screens, etc. Perform start-up and shut-down procedures. Monitor material flow and load-out setting throughout the assigned area of responsibility. Make adjustments as required to maximize production to provide a quality product.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Leadperson to support our Maintenance Services group. Reporting to the Sr Maintenance Services Manager. The Field Service Leadperson will primarily be responsible for safe repair, planned, and preventative maintenance of rock crusher machines and other fixed plant equipment at our operating sites.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a TIIR (Total Injury Incident Rate) of 0 supported by reporting all near misses through the Canvas app, achieving 100% compliance on operational pre-shift equipment checks and utilizing the Guardian Angel Creed to educate and lookout for fellow employees
* Lead or assist in repair and maintenance of all types of rock crushers including gyratory crushers, jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers. Tasks may range from liner changes and lubrication system maintenance through complete machine replacement.
* Measure and inspect crusher components in the field to determine whether to use, repair, or replace using micrometers, calipers, and various measurement tools.
* Generate field reports to document findings, corrective actions, and root causes.
* Manage and document field expenses to be billed out by work order process to quarries.
* Maintain all company issued equipment in safe working condition and DOT compliance with hours of service.
* Complete task training on company service truck and all tools immediately upon hire.
* Complete task training on all service cranes, trucks, welders and torches within 90 days of hire
* Complete torch training and evaluation program within the first 90 days
* Support Preventative Maintenance directives of annual crusher surveys and crusher daily inspections through completion and hands on training on sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
* The candidate must believe and practice safety as the number one priority
* HS Diploma or GED required
* Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements
* A strong mechanical background
* Ability to field weld with multiple processes, cut with plasma, and various traditional and thermal torches

POSITION SUMMARY
* Using various technologies; to include drones as well as traditional surveying tools, provide surveying support for Georgia operations Area. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Basic computer skills

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly document in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Monitor Stockpile. Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.

This position will help identify and initiate tactical and strategic activities with the project supply chain customers, including process execution, and improvement, tracking, maintaining, and optimizing asset usage for shipments involving trucks and railcars for a construction project. The position helps manage, track and communicates all pertinent issues affecting the loading/unloading of railcars and trucks for an active construction project and ensures that proper documentation is recorded for tracking/forecasting purposes.

Responsible for comprehensive oversight and cost-effective and efficient management of transportation operations to include monitoring and tracking rail car locations, rail logistics, haulers, and volumes.
Directs the scheduling of daily truck transportation operations and ensures compliance with operating policies, regulations, and work rules, in conjunction with project management.
Develop, maintain, monitor and update shipping schedules.
Research and resolve shipping issues associated with incorrect BOL or Waybills
Maintain and monitor a rail cycle tracking system that includes tracking key performance indicators.
Interface with Subcontractors, Haulers, and Rail Carriers to ensure that adequate resources have been deployed for the current unloading schedule.
Demonstrated proficiency with shipping documents.
Routinely interface with applicable management to provide updated status reports and forecast changes.
Verification of loaded and empty rail cars.
Monitor hauler arrival times and ensure haulers are arriving within their scheduled window. Adjusting hauler arrival times based on observations made in field to reduce congestion onsite.
Responsible for managing the approved hauler list and submitting to client for new haulers' approval.
Manage hauler performance documentation for site violations and notify the offending hauler of violations and maintain banned hauler/truck lists.
Identify, help negotiate rates and onboard new haulers as needed by the site.
Qualifications
Two (2) years of recent rail and/or truck transit and rail logistics experience is preferred
An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred; or a minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience

What You'll Do:

Perform General Physical Activities. Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Cost Estimating - Provide electrical cost estimates for proposed new facilities and plant modifications. These estimates will include costs for PLC and HMI systems, related software, and installation costs.
Engineering Design Services - Provide complete process control design for aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix facilities. Design shall include ladder logic, HMI, plant networks, and control schematics. Standardization and Innovation - Participate in the standardization of projects and databases for both engineering and estimating information.
