What You'll Do:
We are hiring a Procurement Specialist! As a Procurement Specialist at Vulcan, you'll be an integral
part of our department, providing procurement expertise to a group of Vulcan's sites within Divisional
sub-areas. With a broad focus on goods & services for operational and capital expenditures, you'll
collaborate with business and operations leaders to drive supply chain risk reduction, spending
optimization, and process improvements. Serving as the liaison between Vulcan's operational
footprint and the supply base, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Establish a strong presence in the field to understand business needs and foster
relationships with plant leaders. Act as a trusted business partner, influencing leadership and guiding
optimal supply decisions with clear communication and quick responsiveness.
Supply Risk Management: Proactively address supply gaps, negotiate terms and conditions, and
lead commercial conflict resolutions to minimize risks and losses. Drive continuous improvement
efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure supplies and services meet requirements and
specifications.
Strategic Procurement: Maximize the utilization of enterprise agreements or actively source
products/services. Utilize strategic procurement processes to recommend supply solutions that
maximize value. Lead procurement project implementations with minimal disruption to operations.
Value Generation: Apply strategic procurement best practices and industry knowledge, leveraging
analytics tools to pursue value generation targets. Manage a portfolio of projects aimed at delivering
additional value to the business in the short/mid term.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with operations and suppliers to optimize the procure-to-pay
process and establish and manage supplier relationships. Drive adoption of procurement systems
and minimize PCard utilization.

Skills You'll Need:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Experience: 2 years' experience in procurement positions preferred. Experience in self-directed roles with high customer-centricity

What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role prioritizing safety for yourself and others to ensure all assigned plants have zero accidents and are in total compliance with all Vulcan policies and procedures.
Organize and Plan Production. Plan the daily operation scheduling of plant production to ensure optimal utilization of the plant and equipment, personnel and inventory requirements, and work procedures in regards to stripping, mining, processing, stockpiling, loading and shipping. Maintain responsibility for all aspects of site planning and pit development.
Manage Employee Relations. Provide strong leadership, training, team building, and supervision to all employees at the plant in order to support the operational function of the business. Work cross-functionally with HR to recruit new employees, provide merit increases, perform disciplinary actions, and evaluate the performance of employees in order to develop talent.
Monitor Processes and Materials. Analyze production and quality control to ensure a quality product for our customers. Monitor operational reports to ensure best practices in extraction, processing, stockpiling, and re-handling and that the product remains within target specifications. Implement and monitor a preventive maintenance program to limit work stoppages, downtime, or other disruptions.
Ensure Economic Profit. Maintain responsibility for management of financial decisions for the plant, including budgets, forecasts, inventory management, and labor and capital planning. Ensure adherence to all budgets and financial goals. Identify improvement activities to reduce costs and improve operating efficiency across the plant.
Maintain Compliance. Build a strong safety culture in order to ensure the plant is in compliance with Vulcan's safety, operations, and environmental policies and procedures. Manage the health and safety of employees in order to continuously improve Vulcan's health & safety performance.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Leadperson to support our Maintenance Services group. Reporting to the Sr Maintenance Services Manager. The Field Service Leadperson will primarily be responsible for safe repair, planned, and preventative maintenance of rock crusher machines and other fixed plant equipment at our operating sites.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a TIIR (Total Injury Incident Rate) of 0 supported by reporting all near misses through the Canvas app, achieving 100% compliance on operational pre-shift equipment checks and utilizing the Guardian Angel Creed to educate and lookout for fellow employees
* Lead or assist in repair and maintenance of all types of rock crushers including gyratory crushers, jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers. Tasks may range from liner changes and lubrication system maintenance through complete machine replacement.
* Measure and inspect crusher components in the field to determine whether to use, repair, or replace using micrometers, calipers, and various measurement tools.
* Generate field reports to document findings, corrective actions, and root causes.
* Manage and document field expenses to be billed out by work order process to quarries.
* Maintain all company issued equipment in safe working condition and DOT compliance with hours of service.
* Complete task training on company service truck and all tools immediately upon hire.
* Complete task training on all service cranes, trucks, welders and torches within 90 days of hire
* Complete torch training and evaluation program within the first 90 days
* Support Preventative Maintenance directives of annual crusher surveys and crusher daily inspections through completion and hands on training on sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
* The candidate must believe and practice safety as the number one priority
* HS Diploma or GED required
* Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements
* A strong mechanical background
* Ability to field weld with multiple processes, cut with plasma, and various traditional and thermal torches

POSITION SUMMARY
* Using various technologies; to include drones as well as traditional surveying tools, provide surveying support for Georgia operations Area. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS

The primary role of the Inside Sales Representative is to manage, grow and maintain assigned accounts.
What You'll Do:
* Work in collaboration with other sales representatives, sales management, and SSC personnel to generate new and repeat sales.

What You'll Do:
Order Parts. Order parts through VCommerce as required for repairs.
Maintain Work Orders. Open and close work orders with completion notes for all repairs.
Review Reports. Review reports throughout the month and at month-end to ensure that the system is being properly utilized. Follow up with users and managers when problems are determined. Assume responsibility for environmental reports, storm water sampling, housekeeping, and inspections.
Modify Schedules. Work with Central Services to communicate preventative maintenance and maintenance schedules. Add/modify preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment in the system.
Execute Equipment Transfers. Execute equipment transfers with the EMS.
Participate in Month-End Accounting Functions. Maintain equipment numbers on the Accounting Database and in the Procurement System. Participate in month-end accounting functions with regard to diesel fuel gasoline inventory and accounting and fuel allocation. Print inventory reports, review reports, and create journals via system software. Investigate discrepancies in data from the plants with regard to physical versus book inventory.
Maintain Filing System. Maintain the EMS filing system. Maintain the process of issuing and receiving inspection forms. Verify proper signatures and dates on all paperwork. Verify that all deficiencies are adequately and descriptively noted on all paperwork.
Maintain Inventory. Maintain/order fuel, oil, grease, welding supplies, and other consumable inventory.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Skills You'll Need:
Education. Must have a BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other applicable degree.
Experience. Must have experience with administering databases or deployed applications. Experience with report writing is preferred. Experience in managing all facets of fixed and mobile equipment in the aggregates industry is desired.

Cost Estimating - Provide electrical cost estimates for proposed new facilities and plant modifications. These estimates will include costs for PLC and HMI systems, related software, and installation costs.
Engineering Design Services - Provide complete process control design for aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix facilities. Design shall include ladder logic, HMI, plant networks, and control schematics. Provide technical supervision in formulating calculations, evaluations, feasibility studies, and optimum design criteria for plant electrical integrity, reliability, and endurance. Services provided are conceptual operating plans, detailed layouts, and equipment selections.
Project Management - Provide project management activities on projects working with internal personnel as well as outside contractors, developing schedules and goals to meet milestone requirements.
Project Review - Participate in the review of capital and expense projects pertaining to design correctness, feasibility, and cost for the sections of the project related to process control.
Standardization and Innovation - Participate in the standardization of projects and databases for both engineering and estimating information. Maintain an awareness of technology trends in the electrical and instrumentation industry and the application thereof by competition and others. Analyze future plant control systems and apply new technology and original innovation to attain competitive superiority where possible.
Skills You'll Need:
Education. Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Professional engineering license is preferred.
Experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and installation of heavy industrial control systems is desired, preferably in aggregates or a related industry.

What You'll Do:
Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Comply with all Federal (MSHA, ATF, etc.) and State regulations and protocols regarding drilling, blasting, and general safety regulations.
Plan Shots. Plan and design shots to optimize the production process while maintaining company standards for air overpressure, ground vibration, and compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements. Ensure that Vulcan blasting standards are followed and the shot is loaded according to the planned design.
Adjust Patterns. Adjust standard patterns for optimization by addressing burden, spacing, angles, diameters, depths, etc. in a safe and appropriate design.
Measure Accuracy. Measure and audit the accuracy of drilling operations and drill logs.
Collaborate. Direct the work of vendor bulk truck drivers and Vulcan shot helpers during the shot loading process. Work with plant management and blasting vendor to ensure delivery of the correct and necessary amount of blasting agents according to shot design. Foster neighbor and community relations and respond to inquiries from such groups.
Utilize Various Tools. Read and understand mine maps in order to guide facility management with mine and pit planning. Use GPS instrumentation to calculate scale distances. Read, analyze, and interpret seismographic results and make any necessary shot design adjustments accordingly. Operate signature analysis computer software. Use instruments such as laser profiler, bore track, and stemalign.
Perform Administrative Duties. Perform administrative duties related to the blasting program, such as completing computer generated shot reports, managing pre-charging survey and post-blast surveys, reviewing and analyzing all shots on video, and completing shot layout diagrams.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Skills You'll Need:
Certifications. Must have the ability to become licensed or certified by any applicable Federal or State regulatory entity. Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain necessary state blasting license. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain ATF employee possessor status.

Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly document in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Monitor Stockpile. Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.

Communication. A person must possess good verbal communications skills for dealing with plant production personnel, plant managers, customers, and agency representatives.
Safety Knowledge. Must display knowledge and awareness of construction and mining site hazards. Will be required to wear protective gear when working in the field, including gear to protect against exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials. This will include but is not limited to safety glasses, steel toe boots, hearing protection, and a hard hat.

What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards throughout the plant for yourself and others at all times.
Become Familiar with Tools and Equipment. Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
Learn to Diagnose Problems. Learn to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective components, test, and make regular adjustments.
Learn to Weld. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines. Plan, lay out, install, and repair a wide variety of complex equipment.
Perform Maintenance. Perform a variety of maintenance and carpentry functions. Learn to perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
Complete Apprenticeship Program. Attend and successfully complete a three year apprentice program that includes a classroom setting.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Skills You'll Need:
Education. High School Diploma or GED is required. Technical school is preferred.
Functional Knowledge. Must have thorough knowledge of welding material, welding properties, and various types of metals. Must be able to interpret blueprints. Must be able to wire feed welding machines to hard face and fabricate and repair liners.
Welding Skills. Must have welding experience. Must be able to perform brazing, welding, arc-welding, and cutting tasks.
Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
