RESPONSIBILITIES * Operates grinding mills and associated machinery from computer system. * Cleans control room and immediate area. * Assists and directs Mill Oiler in housekeeping and lubrication * Keeps operating records. * Changes equipment settings and operating parameters as directed, or as needed per system conditions. * Checks process flow of raw mill and finish mills. * Visual inspections of belts, guards, catwalks, handrails, and additional process and safety equipment. * Operates bobcat loader and lift truck. * Assists with kiln repairs when needed. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates, lubricates, and helps maintain heavy equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Operates and lubricates heavy equipment safely and efficiently. * Helps maintain heavy equipment. * Responsible for housekeeping in work areas * Spotting and unloading railcars. * Inspects belts and feeders. * Cleans spills using jackhammer, shovel, and broom. * Perform pre-shift inspections on the equipment. * Report any needed repairs to the supervisor. * Must be able to maintain accurate records. * Assist in plant clean-up. * Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our plant's core mechanical systems. This equipment ranges from small fractional horsepower motors to large medium voltage motors used to start mills and fans. * Motors * Motor control systems * Control power circuits * Transformers of various sizes * Plant lighting * DC drives * Variable Frequency Drives Requirements * Must be methodical in troubleshooting with Safety and confidence as a top priority. * Must have an excellent safety record and exhibit good safety behaviors. * 5 years industrial electrical experience required. * Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems including medium and high voltage equipment. * Ability to trouble shoot complex electrical and process problems. * Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics. * Installs, maintains, and repair starters, DC drives, AC drives, & VFDs * Performs maintenance on both new and existing electrical equipment. * Ability to run conduit, pull wires, repair or replace lights and fixtures. * Perform ground and megger testing as well as understand the testing results. * Ability to inspect, PM, and repair motors. * Ability to provide clear and precise feedback on work done including repairs, PM, and inspections. * Basic understanding of PLC's * Basic understanding of vibration analysis * Provide leadership and assists in technical training. * Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Preferred Education and Experience * 5+ years' experience in cement or similar industrial environment such as mining, paper mills etc. * 2-year technical degree in electrical or comparable experience preferred * Comparable Military Training * Certified / licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred. General Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures. This project participates in on-the-job training. Essential Job Accountabilities Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure. Lays out floor-plan and cabinetwork, using rule, framing square, and calipers. Selects materials and structural units, such as lumber, prefabricated doors, and cabinets of wood or plastic, and paneling, and inspects them to insure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance. Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly, and erection of structure. Assigns workers to such tasks as cutting material to size, building concrete forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring.
