About the Role The Director of Commercial Strategy, Oncology serves as Vumedi's in-house industry and disease-state expert within the commercial organization, with a focus in Oncology. This role bridges scientific credibility and commercial strategy-partnering with pharma clients, solutions, and sales to shape educational strategies that address key HCP barriers to drive outcomes across the brand lifecycle. The Director of Commercial Strategy, Oncology brings deep therapeutic expertise, the ability to synthesize complex data, and a consultative approach to influence pre-sales discussions, proposal development, and ongoing client partnerships. Responsibilities: Serve as the medical and strategic overlay on high-impact oncology accounts, supporting the Solutions team during pre-sales engagements and proposal development. Collaborate with Solutions and Sales to translate brand objectives into evidence-based, education-focused recommendations. Participate in client-facing meetings as a credible scientific partner to pharma marketers and medical stakeholders. Provide insights that elevate Vumedi's differentiation and value in complex, data-driven conversations. Conduct research to identify HCP education gaps, leveraging KOL insights, published data, and real-world trends. Stay current on pipeline developments, pivotal trials, and evolving standards of care. Support the development of internal playbooks and education templates that scale across specialties. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in the oncology therapeutic area-ideally within medical affairs, scientific communications, or strategy roles in pharma, biotech, or education. Experience consulting with multiple disease states within oncology preferred. Proven ability to synthesize data and communicate insights to cross-functional audiences (medical, commercial, and marketing). Strong presentation and client-facing skills; comfortable engaging with senior-level pharma stakeholders. Experience in digital or peer-to-peer medical education preferred. Works under general supervision. • Responsible for screening telephone referrals. • Performs psychosocial evaluation and assessment of mental health service needs of identified patients and their families through professional knowledge, skills of observation and interviewing. • Develops and implements short-term service plans for patients, in conjunction with other members of the Program. • Provides counseling, care management and appropriate referrals for long term and supplemental treatment. • Prepares case histories and prepares and maintains case records, in accordance with the Program record-keeping mechanism. • Encourages resistant clients to accept mental health services through interventions with clients and/or family members and friends concerned with the client's welfare. • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences of the Program. • Provides referral and provision of information to appropriate long-term mental health services and social services and social services providers, or long-term residential facilities. • Coordinates and follows up on linkages made between clients and other service agencies and mental health providers to ensure continuity of care. • Liaison with, and consultation to, community agencies. • Provides outreach services as part of the Program to mentally ill individuals in the community who are experiencing, or are at risk of, psychosocial difficulties and require mental health intervention in their home. • Serves as resource person to the program and other components of the Agency, when requested, pertaining to psychiatric nursing. • Participates with the team and other appropriate Agency staff in the development and implementation of an in-service training component. • Assists and collaborates with the Program Coordinator in the overall functioning of the service. • Assumes Program Coordinator's functions in his/her absence, as requested. • Participates in community programs and education, as requested. • Contributes to the formulation of clinical and administrative policies and procedures and the preparation of policy and procedure manuals, as required. • May provide clinical supervision for Mental Health Technician, graduate Social Worker students or junior staff Social Workers. • Monitors mental status of Senior Citizens accepted to the program. • For Mobile Crisis - Adult (4711) FLOAT Team Only: Assists other Mobile Crisis Agencies across the five boroughs with 24-hour notice. This means you'll be part of a flexible response team, ready to provide crisis intervention and psychosocial support wherever needed in NYC. This requires adaptability and strong coordination skills. • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. GROWTH · Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and rehospitalization. · Ensure patient and treatment charge information and other related data are accurate and submitted appropriately. · Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours. · May participate in inventory management, including end-of-month inventory reporting and adherence to company purchasing protocols. · Perform duties as assigned to meet the patient care or operational needs. OPERATIONAL READINESS (cont.) · Demonstrate effective staffing based on acuity, skill mix and company guidelines. · Ensure provision of dialysis related services such as Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Plasmapheresis (TPE) if contracted to do so. · Participate in all surveys as required. · Ensure nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administered in accordance with physician orders. · Ensure appropriate and required information is documented in patient records. · Inform Supervisor, Medical Director or Physician and Hospital Liaison of all incidents, conditions, and concerns related to patient care, staff and patient safety, and in accordance with company policy. · Prepare and maintain dialysis machines and systems per policy: maintain dialysis records, prepare dialysis water treatment system for use according to established procedure and understand technical operations to troubleshoot problems independently. · Notify Bio-Medical Technician regarding machine or water treatment malfunctions, values out of parameters and document as required.
