vXchnge CEO and leadership

Ernest Sampera is the CMO and Sr. vice president of sales and marketing at vXchnge. He used to be a private investor at Philanthropic and Personal Interests. He earned his degree at The University of Akron.

George is responsible for all finance and human resources functions. George brings more than 24 years of finance experience to the company. Prior to joining vXchnge, George served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer at Switch & Data. While at Switch and Data, George was responsible for 6 acquisitions, all accretive, and the initial public offering in 2007. Prior to joining, Switch & Data, George served as Chief Financial Officer of the Merchant Banking Division of Communications Equity Associates, Inc. (CEA), an international investment and merchant bank specializing in the media, communications, and Internet industries. George was responsible for the financial and administrative functions for CEA’s $600 million portfolio of private equity funds.

Ali is responsible for all engineering, construction, network, and information technology functions for the company. Ali brings over 20 years of experience in the development and support of engineering and IT systems. Prior to joining vXchnge, Ali served as Vice President of IBX Ops Engineering for Equinix. There he led the design of data center architecture and all critical infrastructure and control systems for North America. Prior to joining Equinix, Ali served as the Chief Information Officer for Switch & Data where he directed all engineering and IT organizations. Prior to Switch & Data, Ali served as the Chief Technology Officer for Internap. There he helped define the corporate vision and lead the technology engineering and product strategy for the company.
