Job Description Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer Grace is globally recognized for our leadership and the Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer will have the opportunity to work with some of our industries smartest and most inquisitive people. The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer is embedded with operations at one of our 24/7 chemical manufacturing plants within the Curtis Bay site, working cross functionally with the maintenance supervisor, process engineer and production engineers. The Maintenance and Reliability team is responsible for providing world-class asset availability enabling our plant to deliver products to customers safely, within specifications, and on time. The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer is on-site in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD and reports to the Senior Maintenance and Reliability Leader. Responsibilities Develop and manage equipment maintenance plans for area equipment. Update Preventative Maintenance Plan (PM), Condition Monitoring Routes in SAP Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)/Failure Mode Elimination Analysis (FMEA) Assist with emergencies and unplanned breakdowns Identify critical spares and recommended spare parts inventory levels Identify and scope potential reliability improvement projects Contribute to maintenance planning and execution for outages. Participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Physical Requirements and Environment Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. Week 1: 4 consecutive night shifts, then 3 days off 2. Week 2: 3 regular day shifts, off for 1 day, then 3 night shifts 3. Responsibilities * Supervise employees to ensure the safe and efficient operation of assets, equipment and processes. * Assure regulatory compliance, including environmental and process safety, and champions a safe workplace for all employees. * Address hazards, deviations, and injuries in a timely manner. * Direct response to emergency situations to include emergency shutdown procedures. * Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. * Direct workers in adjusting equipment and processes to correct products which fail to meet quality standards. * Coach, counsel and discipline employees, address complaints and and resolve conflicts. * Interpret various sets of data and determine how to resolve/troubleshoot complex equipment/systems * Maintain housekeeping standards by performing requisite audits. * Analyze and resolve production issues to include enforcing labor relation's policies and resolving grievances. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * 5+ year's supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing setting. * Must be able to work 12-hour shift work to include both day and night. * Demonstrated experience with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. * Previous experience with performance appraisal performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and conflict resolution.
