What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?
Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Qualifications:
Valid Drivers License
3-5+ years Automotive Technician Experience (Required)
Manufacturer experience preferred
Customer focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.

Requirements:
Perform basic safety inspection while draining oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades, additional services as outlined by management
Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace, or replenish as necessary.
Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Document all work performed on the repair order.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keep shop area neat and clean.
Understand, kept abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
Report any safety issues immediately to management.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license

>Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly

2+ years of experience in transmission diagnostics and repair
Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions
Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
ASE certification or Manufacture certifications a plus
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and reliability
