What you will be doing:
This person is responsible for all facets of supporting the Automotive area and expertise in all aspects of industrial maintenance and performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Responsible for supporting the manufacturing area with expertise in all aspects of industrial maintenance and performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Operate mill, lathe, drill press and other machine shop tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and facilities.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair.
Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery using standard and specialized hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Install conduit and related hardware to power equipment, repair motor control systems and electrical equipment and replace light fixtures.

Qualifications
Qualifications: • 6 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required • High school diploma or equivalent required • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred • Specialized training and experience in the overhaul of refrigeration components required • ASE Certification preferred • 608/609 certifications preferred • Proficiency in the use of all necessary tools of trade required • Current CDL license with air brake certification preferred • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment is required • The associate will be required to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management • The associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. * Apprentice Level (Level I) - best for candidates who have a passion for learning and a willingness to train. Experience working in any related field is a plus, but most importantly an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products is needed.
* Service Professional Level (Level II) - this is the sweet spot for anyone who has at least a year of experience in a related field and knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. What You'll Do
Service Professionals are responsible for hands-on customer care. They troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment of all shapes and sizes. There is paperwork involved (what job doesn't have it), as a Service Professional there is expectation that work orders be maintained on paper and digitally. The role operates a vehicle regularly to visit different customer sites and plays a major part in maintaining safety and OSHA compliance for the Company.
