Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to be based out of the Cartersville, GA plant. The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee 1st shift fabrication operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will be responsible for managing the functions of the shop floor to aid and improve the operational performance of the facility. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. What you'll do: Supervise hourly manufacturing team members Schedule and assign work tasks to meet production goals and objectives Create and modify standardized work and ensure consistent application by all team members Provide technical expertise in all responsible areas Ensure products are prepared according to requirements and ready for on-time delivery Maintain ERP system, develop and maintain master data Ensure coordination between Planning, Scheduling, and Operations to achieve KPI goals Maintain and be accountable for KPI reporting while actively participating in Lean Daily Management activities Maintain Daily, Weekly, and Monthly tracking of delivery metrics to ensure strong customer service Identify and execute opportunities for improvement through Kaizen and team-planning participation Partner with EHS and/or HR support to investigate, resolve, and provide corrective measures for accidents, injuries, production, and personnel issues Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and housekeeping practices Maintain consistent and fair labor relations Facilitate a work environment that encourages teamwork and promotes high levels of self-esteem and winning attitudes All other duties as assigned What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' relevant work experience, manufacturing experience preferred Six Sigma/Lean Principles knowledge preferred AS400 and/or JD Edwards ERP experience preferred Six Sigma/Lean Management experience preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Experience in powered-press, plating, and/or manual packing and picking operations preferred Functional knowledge of general Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and business processes Ability to work under minimal supervision, plan workload and establish work priorities Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with all organizational levels, both written and verbal Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends, when supervision is required Demonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence Within 3 months, you'll: Complete your Atkore immersion program. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
