You'll work alongside quality assurance to maintain standards for incoming and outgoing parts, partner with shipping and receiving to manage logistics and documentation, and support customer service to meet client expectations.     **Who will you be working with?** The TPM will work directly with customers, and Wabtec resources across the company in this role. Specifically, internal groups the TPM can expect to work include: various Product Engineering groups, Product Line Management, Sales, Contracts Management, Release Management, and others as needs warrant. In this role, the TPM will make a difference by advocating for Wabtec with the customer while also being an ardent advocate for the customer within Wabtec. As a member of the Train Performance & Automation (TP&A) Services Team, The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will serve as a customer-facing liaison and be responsible for overall execution of, and compliance with, the I-ETMS Maintenance Service Agreements for Customer's positive train control (PTC) operation. The TPM will be the primary point of contact for customer's related inquiries, trouble reports, and maintenance requests associated with PTC, and the TPM will ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services and other product lines as may be assigned. The successful candidate will proactively seek improvement opportunities with the Railroad solutions, engage with the customer to diagnose and analyze technical and business process issues, and provide solution recommendations. The ideal candidate will be skilled at interpreting contracts and participating in proposal and contract development, as well as accounting for finances associated with the contractual support agreement. Non-degreed candidates with railroad and/or Military experience in these areas or advanced industrial experience in Project Management will be considered. + Experience managing teams, including delegation, performance tracking, and fostering a collaborative work environment, is essential. _Preferred Requirements:_ + Working knowledge of fundamental railroad maintenance, operations, or train dispatching. + PTC experience, + Commitment to improvement and continuous learning + Highly motivated with a strong customer service mindset + Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision You will lead and mentor team members, delegate responsibilities, and ensure team accountability through regular reviews and feedback. **What will your typical day look like?** + Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams and executive leadership, ensuring that key messages and strategies are conveyed accurately and with impact. + Prepare and deliver compelling presentations tailored to executive audiences, utilizing data-driven insights and strategic narratives + Persuasively advocate for initiatives and proposals, securing executive buy-in and support. + Effectively communicate during periods of change or uncertainty, providing clear guidance and reassurance to the team. + Work closely with Customer to identify top priority items and initiatives and champion these items by coordinating and facilitating analysis and issue resolution with internal cross-functional product support and field service teams + Convey priority for troubleshooting and analysis of observation for PTC, communicating customer impact and importance to Wabtec PTC Support desk, Engineering, Release Management and leadership. + Maintain, communicate, and update the status of action items for all maintenance activity or triage efforts and ensure action items are closed out to customer's satisfaction. + Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Mechanical teams to identify, quantify, track and report all PTC related performance metrics, and prepare/present performance reports and project status to stakeholders and senior management, as required. + Use Clarity to manage the contract budget, cost, and revenue, to ensure the resources are available to meet customer and performance requirements, and to report on the financial status of the execution of the maintenance contract on a quarterly basis. + Lead discussions and synthesize feedback about the future of the Services contract requiring interaction with other functions including: Sales, Commercial Operations, Contract Management, and Legal. + Participate in the development of proposals and executive deal reviews for projects. + Identify, Inform, promote and implement value-added, enhanced maintenance service offerings to the railroad and expand/increase value of contract. + Manages complex processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders internally and externally. + Communicate with TPM peers on top issues and initiatives, opportunities for improvement and other relevant information. + Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, understanding their priorities and aligning communications with project goals. + Plan, prepare and /or instruct both internal and external training programs as required, to impart and perpetuate product knowledge in area of specialization. + Manage and track customer issues & requests using SalesForce enterprise management system. + Establish and drive performance metrics with Wabtec and customer executive leadership teams. The ATP team is comprised of a diverse group from varying backgrounds, all motivated by an enjoyable and positive work culture. ATP team members primarily support the production of steel and aluminum hatch covers and gates for Wabtec's Freight Components division. This role is specific to the Independence, MO location. How will you make a difference?As a member of the Independence-based team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. You will be cross trained in a variety of tasks, including building products using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Your training will also include the use of a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Manager. Our Independence site is based in an underground industrial complex customized for Fiberglass production. The McPherson site is a metal fabrication and weld shop, in the picturesque setting of America's Heartland. The ATP team is comprised of a diverse group from varying backgrounds, all motivated by an enjoyable and positive work culture. ATP team members primarily support the production of steel and aluminum hatch covers and gates for Wabtec's Freight Components division. This role is specific to the Independence, MO location. How will you make a difference?As a member of the Independence-based team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. You will be cross trained in a variety of tasks, including building products using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Your training will also include the use of a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Manager. What will your typical day look like? Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications/ engineering drawings. Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures. Build hatch cover structures using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Use verity of hand tools, including pneumatic tools. Interpret work instructions Work safely, including wearing appropriate PPE, maintain a clean work area.
