Monday to Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm. **Who will you be working with?** The TPM will work directly with customers, and Wabtec resources across the company in this role. Specifically, internal groups the TPM can expect to work include: various Product Engineering groups, Product Line Management, Sales, Contracts Management, Release Management, and others as needs warrant. As a member of the Train Performance & Automation (TP&A) Services Team, The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will serve as a customer-facing liaison and be responsible for overall execution of, and compliance with, the I-ETMS Maintenance Service Agreements for Customer's positive train control (PTC) operation. The TPM will be the primary point of contact for customer's related inquiries, trouble reports, and maintenance requests associated with PTC, and the TPM will ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services and other product lines as may be assigned. How will you make the difference As a materials handler you will be a key link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and components for the production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment. You will help us to keep a safe, clean and organized work environment using 5s approach, ensure accurate and timely receiving, storage and delivery of parts and materials. Support the production team by producing materials to the correct locations, collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory and shipping and receiving discrepancies. Required Qualifications Preferred: Highschool diploma or GED or associate degree or technical certificate in logistics, supply chain or related field. 2+ years of experience in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within manufacturing- railroad, aerospace or automotive industry experience strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with Oracle or other ERP systems required. Familiarity with shipping and receiving systems is a plus (FedEx, UPS, XPO, etc.) Forklift and pallet jack experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents, bills and inventory reports. Strong attention to details, accuracy and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What will your typical day look like? Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. Receive, inspect and document incoming shipments. Perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records. Pull, pack and stage materials and customer orders for shipment. Process shipping and receiving labels and documentation for FedEx, UPS, LTL, and freight carriers. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other materials handler equipment. Delivering materials to production areas in a timely manner. Perform necessary ERP transactions in Oracle. Support other materials-handling functions as needed to meet production and shipping deadlines. Provide production departments with material needed or requested in a timely and organized manner. Unloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers. Follow safety procedures, ensure compliance with PPE requirements. Perform equipment inspections and follow our 2-minute warning as part of our safety procedures. Other tasks might be assigned as needed. We are Aero Transportation Products (ATP), a business organization part of the great Wabtec Corporation. Job Description Who will you be working with? This position is part of ATP, which includes sites located in Independence, MO and in McPherson, KS. Our Independence site is based in an underground industrial complex customized for Fiberglass production. The McPherson site is a metal fabrication and weld shop, in the picturesque setting of America's Heartland. The ATP team is comprised of a diverse group from varying backgrounds, all motivated by an enjoyable and positive work culture. ATP team members primarily support the production of steel and aluminum hatch covers and gates for Wabtec's Freight Components division. This role is specific to the Independence, MO location. How will you make a difference?As a member of the Independence-based team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. You will be cross trained in a variety of tasks, including building products using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Your training will also include the use of a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Manager. What will your typical day look like? Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications/ engineering drawings. Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures. Build hatch cover structures using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Use verity of hand tools, including pneumatic tools. Interpret work instructions Work safely, including wearing appropriate PPE, maintain a clean work area. Work within a group and execute duties within a team structure Perform additional duties as deemed necessary.
