    Job Description Who will you be working with? Founded in 1976, SanCasT provides ductile and gray acicular and iron castings. It provides prototyping on-site heat treating and international shipping services. How will you make a difference? As a member of the SanCasT group, you will be responsible for General performing a variety of manual tasks to support overall operations. This may include lifting, moving, and transporting materials and equipment as needed. General laborers also assist with basic maintenance and cleaning duties to help keep the work environment organized and well-maintained. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. General laborers play an important role in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support the efficient functioning of the organization. Other duties may be assigned as required to meet the needs of the business. What do we want to know about you? High School Diploma or GED preferred, or two years of related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to read and follow all quality process/work instructions. Must obey all safety rules and wear all proper Personal Protection Equipment Ability to read and interpret, production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers. What will your typical day look like? Performs the safe operations Responsible and accountable for processing all paperwork pertaining to the Assembly/Disassembly and packaging. Accountable for maintaining housekeeping standards in the area Maintains production and quality standards Performs other related duties as assigned by management Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of general plant practices, floor layout and procedures Possesses strong mechanical skills and lean manufacturing practice Must be able to perform continual and heavy lifting Licensed to operate a 3 ton fork lift truck Must possess basic math skills and the ability to read a rule and set of digital calipers Requires repeated movements and tasks daily. Able to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills Possesses good communication skills Must be able to work a rotating shift and overtime as required Able to work independently and as part of a group as a team player Adheres to all safety regulations, practices and established company policies Has the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills immediately What about the physical demands of the job? Perform in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills. Ability to determine the value of donations. Must exhibit strong customer service skills. Clear communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent time management skills and detail oriented. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment. Must be an effective team member. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
