How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Motive Equipment location of Wabtec, you will be responsible for production of quality products. The Assembler reports directly to the Production Supervisor, and indirectly to The Shop Floor Leads. The Production team ensures compliance with Wabtec's quality standards, while working efficiently and effectively within a lean environment, and is instrumental in furnishing our customers with a quality and reliable product.

What will your typical day look like?
* Assembles components according to blueprints, routers, work orders, checklists, and specifications to build, assemble, and test parts and finished goods that meet quality standards in an accurate and timely fashion.
* Accurately completes assembly checklists.
* Monitors stock bins in work area and reports stock needs to Shop Floor Lead(s).
* Ensures a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.
* Adheres to the Wabtec Code of Conduct.

+ Maintain and repair machine tools and equipment from manufacturers including Ingersoll, DMG Mori, Liebherr, G&L, Pietro Carnaghi, and Pama
+ Work with encoder systems including Heidenhain and Inductosyn
+ Support electrical maintenance on cranes, hoists, conveyors, furnaces, welding equipment (Miller and Lincoln), paint booths, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
+ Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and machine tool prints
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance of industrial machinery or successful completion of a field-related technical program
+ Experience with CNC and PLC systems including Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley

Who will you be working with? You will be working as part of the Nordco Engineering Team helping bring new technologies to the Roadway Work Equipment industry. How will you make a difference? You will play a critical role in fabricating and machining components, preparing test setups, and conducting validation tests to ensure products meet design specifications. What do we want to know about you?

+ Review manufacturing documents for operation sequence, setup and work holding information.
+ Identify work piece and assist in loading on machine.
+ Set up and align part using blocks, shims, parallels, wedges, clamps, etc.

**Qualifications:**
+ One to three years of actual, hands on, CNC machining experience; demonstrate good skill and ability on the machines operated.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, layout, and install electrical components and systems using schematics and engineering drawings
Use hand and power tools, bending/threading machines, and cranes to position and install wiring and equipment
Measure, cut, and run wire and conduit; connect pre-wired components and complete circuits
Strip, splice, solder, and connect terminals, lugs, and hardware
Perform functional and diagnostic tests using voltmeters, watt meters, phase sequence meters, tachometers, and stroboscopes
Troubleshoot and adjust electrical systems to meet specifications
Lead and support others in installing and testing rotating, relay, and electronic circuits
Required Qualifications
Experience with electrical tools: drills, pliers, wire strippers, soldering equipment, cranes, etc.
Familiarity with electrical components: conduits, wires, cables, fittings, grease, oil, and hardware
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and blueprints
Working knowledge of high, medium, and low-pressure hydraulic and automated lube systems
3-5 years of electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Preferred Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerances
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands

* Assist in designing, programming, and documentation of Nordco's electrical components
* Update electrical schematics and assembly drawings of varying complexity within the Controls Department
* Assist in conducting bench-top tests for new and existing components
* Assist in the development of technical publications, such as operator and maintenance manuals
* Work closely with the Controls Department to support Production and other manufacturing initiatives
* Utilize basic computer software to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases, documents, and to communicate with various departments within the organization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education
* Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
* GPA of 3.0
Experience
* Familiarity with 3D modeling software, Creo preferred
* Familiarity with Promise-E, AutoCAD Electrical, or other electrical schematic drafting software
* Familiarity with C++
Technical Skills

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, prime, and paint parts, sub-assemblies, and complete machines (both prime and finish coats).
Operate spray booths and maintain paint vault equipment.
Operate shot blast equipment to clean materials prior to painting.
Mix paints and adjust viscosity using thinners or heat as required.
Apply coatings evenly using spray guns or hand brushes, ensuring proper stroke, spray pattern, and nozzle adjustment.
Apply decals and masking as needed to meet quality standards.
Position work manually or with jib/overhead cranes.
Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment after use.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of industrial painting experience (prime and finish coats).
Previous paint experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to determine sequence of operations and follow standard work instructions.
Ability to apply coatings evenly using spray guns or hand brushes while maintaining correct stroke, spray pattern, nozzle adjustment, and air pressure.
Familiarity with operating shot blast equipment and positioning work manually or with jib/overhead cranes.
Knowledge of safety and inspection requirements in a paint environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying coatings on large components (frames, booms, cabs, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, and relay logic systems
Maintain and repair machine tools and equipment from manufacturers including Ingersoll, DMG Mori, Liebherr, G&L, Pietro Carnaghi, and Pama
Work with encoder systems including Heidenhain and Inductosyn
Support electrical maintenance on cranes, hoists, conveyors, furnaces, welding equipment (Miller and Lincoln), paint booths, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and machine tool prints
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance of industrial machinery or successful completion of a field-related technical program
Experience with CNC and PLC systems including Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley
Strong troubleshooting skills with relay logic and programmable controllers
Hands-on experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives
Basic mechanical aptitude
Possess one of the following:
Wisconsin Electrician License
State-indentured Journeyman Electrician or Electronic Technician
Associate Degree in electrical or electronics
Union Journeyman Card
Equivalent military experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Experience with welding equipment and industrial automation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to work overtime to support production needs
Familiarity with safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
