Chemical Operator help put floor cleaners, waxes, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and many other cleaning products into gallons, quarts, bags and variety of other containers. These products are used in schools, health care, food grade manufacturing and other business. Essential Duties: Work in various departments following the applicable Skill Set Grouping (SSG) Operate production machinery and equipment, according to work instructions and/or under the direction of supervision Assemble products according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications or under the direction of supervision Load raw material, subassemblies, components or packing material into production or processing equipment Pack subassemblies or finished product in totes, cartons, etc Apply labels or other identification to finished products according to specifications Perform visual inspection of work performed Perform routine in-process and finished product quality checks using gauges, fixtures, templates, scales, etc Accurately count and record completed work and material consumption Repair or rework defective products or subassemblies Perform minor machine set up and adjustments Perform routine Preventative Maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, etc.) on machines and production equipment Operate manual material handling equipment Being present at work and adhering to assigned work schedule Overtime when required Qualifications Qualifications: Candidates must have the ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance desired. Industry specific on-the-job training provided. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English, bilingual a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; some high school education required. Physical Demands: Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Extreme outdoor temperatures will influence the temperature in the production area. Exposure to usual minor shop injuries such as cuts bruises, burns and sprains are inherent in the job. Some exposure to more serious hazards; however, probability of serious injury will be minimized by adherence to established safety regulations. Training will be provided to personnel who may occasionally wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In this role, you will be responsible for: * Providing customers with a friendly, clean and safe environment in which to participate in programs, public session, events and rentals * Operating skate rental, basic point-of-sale desk operations and skate guard * Distributing rental skates for use during classes and public sessions * Processing payments for a variety of services and maintaining a balanced register * Setting up, operating and taking down bumper cars * Skate guarding, ensuring a safe and friendly environment * Assisting with birthday parties and room rentals * Greeting customers coming in/exiting the facility and giving guidance to facility layout/schedule * Communicating and supporting rentals as guests arrive, unlocking their reserved room and aiding parties as needed during their reservation * Monitoring and enforcing safety guidelines with patrons around the facility * Completing light maintenance duties when the skate rental desk is not busy QUALIFICATIONS: The best applicants will be reliable with previous experience in customer service, ice operations or programming, or have knowledge of ice programming or operations. Must be at least 16 years old. SCHEDULING AND PAY: This is a year-round position working 10-20 hours per week. This position requires working at least one (1) weekend day, as well as weeknight evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The target hiring pay rate is $15/hour, depending on qualifications.
