Fairview is looking for a Painter to join our team at our Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Patch and Paint interior and exterior of the facilities in a craftsman like manner. Maintain database of interior and exterior finishes. Maintain stock of interior & exterior finishes including, but not limited to paints, stains, wall covering, flooring, tools and equipment. Prioritize and manage workload, effectively communicate with management, and key stakeholders both written & orally. Position Details * 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) * day shift * no weekends Responsibilities * Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. * Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. * Orders paint and fabric supplies for general maintenance by completing work requests. * Receives estimates on materials and labor and assist reviewing invoices and records as needed. * Strips and refinishes wooden and steel assets (desks, tables, chairs) according to accepted application guidelines. * Provides information to departments regarding color selection, quality, quantity and cost of paints, stains, and wall coverings. * Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous materials according to established procedure, observing all safety precautions. * Applies wall coverings (wallpaper, plastic boards, etc.). Maintains records of all paints and wall coverings applied throughout the facilities. * Communicates with departments on the coordination of work. * Able to lift 75 lbs. * Able to utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, CMMS & other company issued software and equipment. Uses standard work to mix, spray and decal work surfaces with protective material. Cedar Park Group is seeking a Journeyman Painter with experience in laboratory, medical, industrial, or R&D environments. This role focuses on high-quality surface prep and coatings (including epoxy paint) in a secure facility with strict safety and PPE requirements.
