Product Manager
Artemis 3.5
New York, NY jobs
Traditional finance and crypto-enabled finance are merging into digital finance - an open, global financial system for everyone. Stripe launched its own blockchain, JPM is getting involved with stablecoins, Robinhood launched tokenized stocks and its own blockchain.
Finance is moving onchain and it's accelerating.
Previously platforms like Bloomberg, CapIQ, and FactSet became the information layer on top of finance, growing into $1-$10B ARR businesses. But these platforms weren't built for a crypto-native world.
Artemis is building the open data platform for digital finance - organizing and standardizing the metrics that matter for blockchains, tokens and stablecoins, all in one place.
Functionally, we offer a "Bloomberg-like" Terminal trusted by Visa, Circle, Tether, Grayscale, VanEck, Franklin Templeton, Solana, Base, and others - alongside Excel plugins, APIs, and Snowflake Data Shares used by some of the world's largest asset managers.
Our mission is to make crypto's promise of an open financial system real and to empower anyone, anywhere, to become a world-class investor in digital finance.
Who We Are
"Humans wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success" - Ernest Shackleton, Antarctic Explorer
At Artemis we are doing really challenging things, very much inspired by Ernest Shackleton's mindset. Hard things are not for everyone, only the select few who have superhuman levels of mental fortitude, optimism, compassion, and courage.
If this is who you are - join us.
We are a team of crypto-natives and TradFi ex-analysts coming from Meta, Coinbase, BlackRock, Messari, Ribbit Capital, EY Blockchain, and Insight Partners. We raised from the best venture capitalists in the world.
Job Overview
As Artemis' first ProductManager, you will be the critical bridge between our customers, founders, and engineering team - defining and executing the product strategy that will take us from Series A to becoming the definitive data platform for digital finance. This is not a typical PM role. You will be building the product function from the ground up at a company with 100k+ monthly active users, growing institutional adoption, and the mandate to redefine how the world invests in crypto.
What you'll do:
Be customer-obsessed (50%+ of your time): You will spend the majority of your time talking directly to customers - from liquid token funds to asset managers at Invesco and Franklin Templeton. You'll understand their workflows, pain points, and needs better than anyone. Customer feedback will be your North Star for product decisions.
Synthesize and build conviction: Transform conversations with customers, founders, and opinionated engineers into a clear, actionable short-to-medium term roadmap. You'll need to develop strong product intuition about what matters most and build conviction around hard tradeoffs.
Drive ruthless prioritization: Constantly re-adjust priorities based on customer calls, market conditions, and strategic bets. With limited resources, you'll need to identify the highest-leverage opportunities and ensure the team is always working on what will move the needle most.
Align and unblock the team: Work with design, founders, and engineers (who have strong product opinions) to ensure everyone is aligned on priorities and has what they need to ship. You'll be the glue that keeps cross-functional execution moving fast.
Run product experiments: Design and execute experiments to validate new product ideas before we commit significant engineering resources. Move quickly from hypothesis to learning.
Make our products stickier: Drive the Terminal, Excel Plugin, and Datashare products to be better, stickier, and have more adoption over time. You'll own metrics like DAU/MAU, retention, feature adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Solve customer pain points relentlessly: Prioritize and listen to customer support issues. Work with engineering to systematically eliminate friction and solve real problems customers face daily.
Define product strategy and vision: Work closely with founders to understand our business model, competitive positioning, and strategic bets. Help shape the 6-12 month product vision and how it ladders up to making Artemis the Bloomberg of crypto.
Build the PM function: As our first PM, you'll establish product processes, frameworks, and ways of working that will scale as we grow. Define how we measure product success, document decisions, and communicate with stakeholders.
Own product metrics and analytics: Define, instrument, and monitor the key metrics that matter for each product line. Use data to inform decisions and measure impact of product changes.
Conduct market and competitive analysis: Stay on top of what's happening in crypto data, institutional adoption of digital assets, and competitive products. Bring market insights that inform our product strategy.
Contribute to company building: Support fundraising efforts with product updates for investors. Help recruit future product team members. Shape the company culture and contribute to the workplace you want to work at.
Ship and iterate relentlessly: You will work closely with engineers who have strong product instincts. Your job is to help them build the right things, not just write specs. Embrace a culture of shipping fast and iterating based on feedback.
Who you are
You have 3-5+ years of productmanagement experience, ideally with at least some time at a high-growth startup or in a 0→1 environment
Based in the broader New York City area - this role requires close collaboration with founders and the team
You're deeply passionate about crypto and investing. You believe crypto can democratize access to investing and want to build products that empower everyone from retail investors to institutional asset managers
You're customer-obsessed and energized by spending 50%+ of your time talking to users, understanding their problems, and validating solutions
You have strong product intuition and can balance qualitative customer feedback with quantitative data to make sound decisions
You thrive in ambiguity and can operate effectively when things are unclear, priorities shift, and you need to figure things out
You can work with opinionated engineers and bring the best ideas to the surface, regardless of where they come from
You move fast and have high agency. You don't wait for perfect information - you make decisions, test hypotheses, and iterate
You're not afraid of 50+ hour weeks when necessary to ship something important or support a critical customer
You have experience shipping B2B products, ideally data products, analytics tools, or financial software
You're analytical and metrics-driven, comfortable with SQL, product analytics tools, and interpreting data
Bonus: You have experience in fintech, data platforms, or with institutional customers
Bonus: You've worked with or understand the needs of investors, analysts, or financial professionals
Why join Artemis
Foundational impact: As our first PM, you will define how we build products and directly influence the trajectory of the company
Exceptional team: Work alongside crypto-natives and ex-TradFi analysts from Meta, Coinbase, BlackRock, Messari, and top VCs
Backed by the best: Funded by Dragonfly Capital, Sequoia Capital, and other top-tier investors
Real traction: 100k+ monthly active users, 10M+ monthly API calls, and institutional customers including Visa, Circle, Tether, and major asset managers
Mission that matters: Help build the open financial system that makes investing accessible to everyone, everywhere
