Mission Critical team is seeking an MEP Estimator to support mission critical operations. This role develops and prepares MEP cost estimates for projects in early stages of development and supports the team throughout the preconstruction phase. The candidate will manage several projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $50M-$150M.
Responsibilities
• Review plans and MEP drawings
• Prepare quantity take-offs
• Conduct thorough review of plans to identify missing items
• Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships
• Solicit subcontractor bids and gather 3-5 bids per trade
• Analyze bids for conformance to specifications, pricing, material quality, insurance, and wage requirements

Qualifications
• BS or BA required (Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in Estimating, Construction Engineering/Project Engineering, or related roles
• Open to candidates transitioning from field operations into preconstruction
• Strong computer skills (Excel, MS Office)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Job Description
Estimator is responsible for managing the estimation process, while maximizing profit, and performing these activities with the available resources within the constraints of time, cost, and performance/technology. Ultimately responsible for all parameters of estimation process.
Leads the proposal process and defines milestones and requirements for the proposals and estimates. Prepares material and work to be estimated by reviewing past proposals, past projects, specifications, and related documents. Works with engineering proposal team to generate estimates for projects. Works with all business groups to ensure that scope and risk are accounted for in the proposal.

Key Responsibilities
