Job Description
Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee our high-volume retail facilities. You will be responsible for the generation and execution of travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction.
The Retail Assistant Manager will also be:

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.

Master Maintenance Technician

Under the direction of the Building Maintenance Superintendent, constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions. Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Installs glass in doors, windows, etc. Installs/repairs electrical and plumbing systems, and performs general inspection, repair, and maintenance of all city buildings; such as repairs to heating/air conditioning units, electrical, plumbing, carpentry work, painting, demolition, and other maintenance-related work as required.
Typical Duties:
Responsible for the construction, repair and general maintenance of City facilities which includes;
* Carpentry/Construction (including framing, sheetrocking, etc).
* Repair plumbing fixtures/systems.
* Install/repair electrical systems.
* Repair/maintain HVAC systems.
* General building maintenance.
* Operate heavy equipment (i.e., backhoe, forklift and skid loader), power tools, and hand tools. No certification required for operating heavy equipment.
* Demolition of structures.
* Responsible for the up-keep of maintenance tools.
* Maintain daily work orders.
* Performs other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Work Environment:
This position primarily involves working in a field environment, indoors and outdoors. Will be working around heavy construction equipment. Outdoor work requires the ability to work in all types of weather. Some duties require the handling of certain chemicals, solvents, and other hazardous agents commonly used in construction and maintenance duties. Work may be subject to time pressures, frequent changes in tasks, working closely with others as part of a team, working alone 50% or more of the time, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and dealing directly with other employees.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, climb, and squat to perform duties. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Must have dexterity with fingers and hands to operate hand tools and small equipment. Must maintain physical condition necessary for walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. Hearing and vision must be satisfactory to the degree that duties may be performed effectively and safely. Miscellaneous Information
The City of Granbury offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience. The city participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) at a 7% employee deposit rate with a city matching ratio of 2:1. The city pays 100% of the employee's medical insurance and term life insurance. Full-time employees receive 40 hours of vacation at 6 months, then accrue each pay period based on the number of years employed up to 160 hours. 48 hours of Sick leave at 6 months, then accrue 3.70 hours each pay period. Full-time employees are eligible for 14 paid holidays. A full range of insurance benefits is also provided to full time employees. The lab manager position is for a small working lab at a hazardous waste facility. Non-accredited and actively working with plant personnel to manage a wastewater treatment tank farm. Basic lab testing and running of a GC and an ICP, while overseeing 1-2 lab techs. Attention to detail, ability to lead a team, and a desire to learn about the environmental services industry desired.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Understand facility operations and be familiar with which regulations and permit conditions drive the analytical requirements of the facility, both in-house and third-party.
Communicate and confirm each lab and lab pack technician's understanding of their role in facility operations and compliance with permit conditions and regulations.
Perform QA/QC review on data generated by laboratory technicians for incoming waste verification samples, process/treatability samples, and samples representing outbound wastes.
Perform QA/QC review on results entered into computer database by laboratory technicians.
Communicate with other departments within our company either through email or cell phone.
Approve lab packs coming into our facility.
Oversee notification to Facility Management of off specification drums and recommended resolution.
Maintain the highest standards at all times, assuring accuracy of results.
Review lab equipment maintenance logs including calibration schedules as applicable.
Make suggestions on methods to improve laboratory and lab pack flow and quality to Facility Manager.
Operate lab in a safe and efficient manner.
