Job Summary
Apply technical knowledge and expertise to advise, guide and train customers and Technical Service Department personnel regarding the installation and operation of Wagstaff equipment, and optimization of cast house operations unique to each cast house. Substantial and extended international and domestic travel is required.
Pay: $77,000-$90,000 per year
Primary Job Responsibilities
Oversee the installation and commissioning of Wagstaff supplied equipment
Troubleshoot Wagstaff supplied equipment
Provide expert advice, guidance and training to customers and Technical Service department personnel regarding the installation and operation of Wagstaff equipment
Analyze and interpret supplied data to develop recommendations and/or adjustments to improve and optimize casting equipment and processes unique to each cast house
Oversee and manage the installation of Wagstaff equipment at customers' sites ensuring that the site meets specifications as outlined in industry safety guidelines and that equipment will operate efficiently and with maximum effectiveness
Perform post-installation courtesy visits to ensure continued correct operation of Wagstaff supplied equipment
Document onsite activities and write quality technical trip reports
Abide by company policies
Participate in research activities related to aluminum casting technologies as required
Domestic and international travel required depending upon customer and company business needs
In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required

Requirements:
Strong mathematical aptitude and college level report writing skills
Metallurgical or Materials Science and Engineering degree OR five (5) years of experience in the metals casting industry working in the field of direct chill casting or relevant educational experience
Technical understanding of safety precautions associated with direct chill aluminum casting
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.
This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.

Job Summary
Apply technical knowledge and expertise to advise, guide and train customers and Technical Service Department personnel regarding the installation and operation of Wagstaff equipment, and optimization of cast house operations unique to each cast house. Substantial and extended international and domestic travel is required.
Pay: $77,000-$90,000 per year
Primary Job Responsibilities
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of Wagstaff supplied equipment
* Troubleshoot Wagstaff supplied equipment
* Provide expert advice, guidance and training to customers and Technical Service department personnel regarding the installation and operation of Wagstaff equipment
* Analyze and interpret supplied data to develop recommendations and/or adjustments to improve and optimize casting equipment and processes unique to each cast house
* Oversee and manage the installation of Wagstaff equipment at customers' sites ensuring that the site meets specifications as outlined in industry safety guidelines and that equipment will operate efficiently and with maximum effectiveness
* Perform post-installation courtesy visits to ensure continued correct operation of Wagstaff supplied equipment
* Document onsite activities and write quality technical trip reports
* Abide by company policies
* Participate in research activities related to aluminum casting technologies as required
* Domestic and international travel required depending upon customer and company business needs
* In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements
* Strong mathematical aptitude and college level report writing skills
* Metallurgical or Materials Science and Engineering degree OR five (5) years of experience in the metals casting industry working in the field of direct chill casting or relevant educational experience
* Technical understanding of safety precautions associated with direct chill aluminum casting
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.
This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
This job requires occasional or more frequent travel to and work at customer sites.
