Job Summary: Under the direction of the Family Grille Manager, the hostess is directly responsible for greeting the members with a smile as they arrive to the dining area. Directing the members to their table, pulling out the chairs and seating the members, offering either lunch or dinner menu's and getting highchairs or booster seats as needed. The position also requires the ability to seat stations accordingly so as to ensure that the member receives the best service possible; this entails seating station evenly and timely. This may require entertaining the members until they can be sat. When this occurs the hostess should apologize and offer a beverage while the member is waiting. Responsibilities to include: Manage the door professionally and efficiently Maintain a positive and professional attitude Maintain inventory supplies Assign table sections to servers on a daily basis; seat members and their guests by alternating stations. Inform each table who their server that evening.
