Starting salary: $110,000 Collaborative, close-knit rheumatology team - physicians, nurses, and staff who truly support each other. A practice that values quality of care over quantity of visits. What You'll Do: Provide comprehensive care to patients with rheumatologic conditions, including autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Perform thorough assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment and management plans. Prescribe medications and monitor ongoing therapy in accordance with current standards and clinic protocols. Educate and empower patients to understand their conditions and take an active role in their care. Collaborate closely with rheumatologists and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the EHR. Participate in clinic meetings, ongoing education, and quality improvement initiatives. 🎯 What You'll Bring: Active Physician Assistant license (NC Medical Board) Current NCCPA certification Current BLS certification At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in rheumatology, internal medicine, or another chronic disease specialty Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient education skills 💡 Bonus Points For: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) ACLS certification Prior experience using EHR systems (especially Allscripts or Veradigm) 👩 ⚕️ The Work Environment: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (no weekends or holidays!)
