The Opportunity
Walbridge is looking for Superintendents that know how to and love to build! Schedule, coordinate and supervise Electrical craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups, including electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and similar within the construction industry.

We are prioritizing candidates located near Columbus, Ohio who possess a commitment to building within their community. Otherwise, travel to this project is required.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Resource Management: Plan and supervise Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects) and/or craft activities such as, determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked. Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities and project schedule.
Project Planning and Strategy: Coordinate assigned work with the work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
Risk Management: Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned. Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Team Leadership: Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required.
Overall, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive significant growth and innovation within the organization and serve our client's needs.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have
Minimum of 8 years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
Strong Electrical background in Data Centers' experience is preferred.
Titles by discipline may include, Construction Superintendent (for civil work), Structural Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, or Electrical Superintendent.
Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.
Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $15M value.
A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%.

* Conduct review of contract documents, equipment and procurement packages to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
* Identify, address, and resolve procurement issues in collaboration with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors, and Owner Representatives.
* Understand and adhere to established project budgets.
* Manage project submittals and shop drawings, assess conformance to contract specifications, and resolve interpretation conflicts.
* Schedule and manage vendor coordination and preconstruction and submittal review meetings to ensure consistency of communication and adherence to project schedule.
* Review project scope of work documents, coordination matrices, and bid response forms for vendor bid packages.
* Receive and level vendor bids and perform detailed cross check against project documents for technical compliance.
* Negotiate, document, and manage change order requests with vendors and clients.
* Conduct analysis of estimates for vendor requests, approvals, and conflict resolutions, and submit to supervisor for approval.
* Develop Purchase Orders and track vendor requirements; communicate each to centralized SourceBlue team.
* Develop and maintain project reports (e.g., budget, cost), equipment tracking, change order, and close out logs.
* Perform and/or contribute to close-out process to ensure compliance with contract documents and prepare final close-out records (e.g., Requests for Information (RFI's), warranties, as-builts, Operations & Maintenance manuals (O&Ms), attic stock, and spare parts).
* Conduct project site and vendor factory visits to learn and understand product development and use on projects.
