Company stopped caring about store managers a long time ago. Average manager works 60 hours per week, often going weeks or months without a single day off. Salary is now one of the worst in the industry. Once a store manager reaches his top pay, he or she will NEVER receive a raise. I know store managers that haven't received pay increases for 9 years.
Met my wife at Walgreens
My customers that I dealt with on a daily basis and my coworkers
Being on my feet all day and lifting heavy products
Getting discounts on store items
Most of the people but that is not true anymore
Siloed work, lack of leadership and direction, simply a number to produce a product, no training provided
Not much
I would say I enjoyed Easy access to common necessities such as snacks, bath/shower products, cosmetics, and other daily needs.
I wish I had gotten more hours, I definitely enjoyed working as a pharmacy technician and I know I would have stayed with the company longer had I had more hours.
I enjoyed the helpful the benefit of having my pharmacy technician license covered by the company.
The employees are my family. Working there is easy because its the same routine.
Corporate initiatives are not concerned with employee satisfaction and many of their ideas are for things they never do so when its time to implement it, it's not any easier for the employees actually doing the work.
PerkSpot gives discounts on different companies and there's a 25% discount on Walgreens products
E workers are great and work as a team, the company is also good to work for. The customers can be rude but the Pharmacist takes care of them. I loved working there
If your not used to being on your feet, it hurts, wear comfy shoes with arch support. Even though it is a part time job, you may only work a few days a week, but each shift will be a full 8 hours.
Employee Discount “15% and 20% on Walgreens products.”
