Is WAG retail just as *** miserable as WAG corporate?

It can be. One day I tried to convince the customers that the credit card machine was voice activated. That was a non miserable day.

How do you deal with extremely rude customers?

Usually the rude customers are ones who are pissed about something stupid that I have no control over, so I just apologize for whatever it is
January 31, 2015 on Reddit

What is the name of the POS system you use? Is it StoreLine?

I have no idea tbh. It's really bad though. It will randomly bring you to the last screen and not let you go back. Then you have to start all over again, and call a manager to void the transaction.

Have you ever stolen or charged extra?

No, but sometimes if I get through a transaction and a customer forgets to give me an item and I cant go back, I'll pretend to scan it and put it in their bag.

What's the weirdest thing a customer has done that you've personally been involved in?

Had two people sex each other in the bathroom. I was involved but not in a good way. I was on bathroom cleaning detail.

Do you guys always close your bathrooms at 12 am? My friends and I went there once with a drunk guy and you guys told him this. IS IT TRUE?! What happened afterwards is your fault.

Where I worked we never closed the bathrooms. People were always allowed to use the bathrooms at all hours as far as I know. If the guy was drunk and getting out of hand then maybe the manager didn't want him in the bathroom? It can really depend on the management. Personally if someone has to go I let them in that's just common decency to other people.

who's the weirdest customer you've ever had?

Well I had a guy who was obviously on drugs of some sort come in and try to sell me a lawn chair. There was another guy who had a MASSIVE erection come up to the counter and proceed to hit his dong on the side of the counter and look at me like that kind of thing was normal. Also had a guy who would always tell me about some girl he was getting with and he would always say he was "Getting some face". Had a dude open a condom and inspect it on the counter. Had a girl ask me if the wax we had in the cosmetic department was suitable for removing her pubic hair. The list goes on.

Do all teenagers have that awkward look on their face when buying condoms

Yes, yes they do by the time I was there for about 3 months I had exchanged many awkward looks with many people but after a while as an employee you stop giving a ***. As a guy who sells condoms I would rather you buy them and be safe rather than having unprotected sex.

What was the worst part of working there?

we were understaffed after 4pm and the manager was not interested in hiring new employees. We were a 24 hour store
October 8, 2009 on Reddit

code 13!

We mainly used code 4. We would say it 3 times in a row really quickly and customers would get scared because they thought we were calling security. Code 4 was for returns in cosmetics
