The Walla Walla University in College Place, Washington, provides you with the academic, spiritual, and social resources you'll need for a well-rounded education in the liberal arts or professional/technical programs. The school is a fully accredited, private university affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Its programs are Christ-centered, although admissions welcome students with diverse backgrounds who seek an exceptional Christian education. Religion classes are a necessary part of the curriculum. To respect the Sabbath, from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday no classes or offices are open. During the Sabbath hours, the university offers church services, religious programs and recreational outings. Academics include more than 100 areas of study, including undergraduate programs in business, education and engineering, and graduate programs in education, biology and social work. An advantage of living on campus is partaking in the rich student life. Besides campus ministries, students may join one of the university's many student clubs, gain professional experience by working on student publications or train in music and drama groups. Students who complete a FAFSA application will be considered for financial aid in the form of federal grants, loans, merit-based scholarships and work-study programs.
