DPR Construction is looking for Concrete Foreman with at least 10 years of commercial concrete construction experience with 3+ years of experience as a leadman/foreman. Prior experience in all aspects of commercial concrete, preferably within DPR's core markets (life science, health care, higher education, commercial and advanced technology). Position will be in our NE Business Unit, so willingness for regional travel (CT/MA/RI) required. Initial project location will be in Smithfield, RI. They should be well organized and able to communicate easily and effectively with team members, subcontractors, and designers. The foreman organizes the work and coordinates the various aspects of construction. They should be able to meet quality standards, cost requirements, and project time schedules. Responsibilities: Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel. Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors. Managing and mentoring employees and contractors. Providing adequate resources to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs. Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures Reading and interpreting building plans. Must be able to complete work abiding by national, state, and local codes, including safety regulations. Constructing and installing wooden structures including but not limited to framework, stairways, rafters, doors, windows, trim, railings, and built ins. Must be able to accurately measure and cut materials appropriately. Collaborate with team members to ensure that the project is running smoothly.
