Shimmick is seeking a Lead Estimator to be based remotely/hybrid in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. As a Lead Estimator at Shimmick, you will support project bid activity while reporting to the Director of Estimating. The Senior Estimator operates with minimal oversight on preconstruction teams, frequently serving as the principal point of contact with the design team and the owner. Senior estimators are capable of leading all types of project delivery methods and have demonstrated competence in basic and advanced estimating functions. Desired estimating disciplines include earthwork, paving, underground utilities, and structures on transit, civil infrastructure, and highway projects. Successful candidates will prepare detailed take-offs, solicit quotes, develop cost estimates, and close out bids. Key Responsibilities 1. Advanced level HCSS knowledge of estimate entry and quote system tools. 2. Estimate all scopes related to their discipline area of expertise. 3. Perform detailed quantity take-offs on bid items and materials in order to develop allinclusive cost estimates. 4. Overview Position Overview: Responsible for implementing equipment maintenance practices on job site, work with vendors to obtain parts and supplies, and implement proper maintenance forecasting. The Field Equipment Manager will supervise the field mechanic on site and work closely with the Regional Equipment Manager. Location & Travel Details: You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build renewable projects. This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You'll spend 8-12 months on average per project. We offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses. This position is eligible for routine travel home (rotation) from the jobsite.
