Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent supervisory experience accepted.
2-4 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Picking Responsibilities
* The picking functions include, but are not limited to, using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands. Associates must efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas. Associates will stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements. All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Quality Control Responsibilities
* The quality control functions include, but are not limited to, using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly. Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies. Associates will stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products. The Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) manages and maintains the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), the national repository of critical medicines, medical supplies, and medical equipment established to protect the American public if there is a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.
The division procures and ensures that medical assets are stored and managed at the highest level of the Food and Drug Administration's current Good Manufacturing Practices, and delivers these assets, which are designed to supplement state and local public health agencies in the event of a large-scale public health emergency in the United States or its territories. During such a national emergency, the DSNS may deploy a team of advisors to provide technical assistance to the state(s) receiving the stockpile medical assets.
Scope of Work:
Overall: Support Warehouse management operations.
Provide knowledge in inventory control systems, data entry, electronic packing, shipping and receiving, and computer data entry.
Enter data into the Inventory Management System upon receipt or issue of products/equipment program wide.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management systems to maintain data accuracy.
Monitor operating inventory management systems, and management tools for the asset accountability
Operate data conversion equipment to generate and/or verify a large variety of subject matter information from many types of source documents.

Have the ability to work with 3PL on specific supply chain problems, shipping, receiving and storage.

Remove finished goods from pallets / shipping floor when needed.
Change and thread the stretch wrap film as needed.
Notify maintenance of repairs needed on stretch wrap machines.
Be proficient on all material handling equipment and operate safely.
Maintain good housekeeping in materials storage area.
Change equipment batteries and perform routine maintenance checks.
Notify warehouse personnel when materials are needed from outside warehouse.
Record material movements and enter into computer / RF equipment.
Verify count on return material.
Replace identification tags onto material.
Attach finished goods tags to pallet side.
Load Trucks.
Operate Forklift and Truck/Reach Truck safely.
Operate Yard Tractor Safely
Capable of heavy lifting on a routine basis - sometimes over 50 pounds.
Msvl Warehouse Operator 1 status will be issued once an associate has successfully signed off on 2 of the 4 Msvl whs job functions (Shipping, Towel Running, Staging, Yard Tractor).
Msvl Warehouse Operator 2 status will be issued once an associate has successfully signed off on 3 of the 4 Msvl whs job functions (Shipping, Towel Running, Staging, Yard Tractor).
Assist with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Warehouse Operatives shall at times in the performance of their duties be responsible for transporting hazardous chemicals, (i.e.) Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide, and be responsible for adhering to appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets, SOPs, and labeling procedures.
Inventory stretch wrap film for reordering.
All other duties as assigned.

Minimum one-year experience in Shipping, Receiving or Warehouse position with material handling and fork truck operation responsibilities
