Warehouse Technician (Driving) The Warehouse Technician will process orders, prepare items for shipment and receive incoming inventory. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: Performs data entry in appropriate applications, updates shipping information, and tracks orders. Completes clerical tasks including faxing, scanning, filing, and general phone calls. Prepares shipping containers in advance and creates labels. Reviews itemized customer lists; locates and assembles outgoing merchandise to fulfill requests. Verifies contents of outgoing packages against invoices or bills of lading. Receives and opens merchandise shipments, processes packing slips or invoices, and safely stores items. Documents returned items and cleans equipment following the Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines Retains knowledge of and consistently adheres to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling. Routinely cleans warehouse area pursuant to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), discards waste material daily and maintains a clean facility. Assists in the stocking, tracking, and replenishment of inventory. Collects and delivers packages to the shipping area. Responsible for communicating actual and potential stock shortages or outages to the warehouse manager in a timely manner to assure adequate inventory level. Responsible for monitoring expiration dates to assure supplies are returned or re-inventoried per company guidelines. Delivering equipment (when requested): Follows Driving Policy and completes required driver training. Tracks all tools, i.e. shop or to jobsite. * Reviews size of crews, proper crew mix, and cost of crews (day vs. project schedule/budget) for project labor. * Monitors production, i.e., float casting/stripping, foam, subassembly, and any additional. * Time Allocation - approximately 70% to projects and 30% to shipping/receiving. * Work area varies within plant and/or jobsite as determined by task being performed. * Performs monthly inventory counts and verifies completeness with Operations. * Performs economic order process and assists Operations on re-order of stock materials. * Assists, as directed, in purchasing of goods and materials for BMI projects. * Performs inspections of BMI facilities to ensure various permit requirements. * Maintains, schedules and logs services on BMI plant equipment. * Documents and reports to the Operations and General Manager the condition of BMI plant facilities. Further assists in scheduling and budgeting for repairs and maintenance. * May supervise 1-3 Employees as needed for loading and shipping operations as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned or required.
