The Warehouse Receiving Assistant will assist with receiving all goods and materials into the Warehouse, ensuring proper storage/placement of inventory items, and maintaining the Warehouse inventory system. Verifies all items received against bills of lading, invoices, orders, receivers, etc. Actively participates in the physical inventory of the warehouse as necessary. Rotates stock according to FIFO to ensure quality control. Maintains par levels of warehouse issue items and places order to replenish items as needed. Prepares daily shipment for FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. Ensures that all deliveries have been pulled accurately, are tagged properly, are taken out of inventory (if necessary), and are clearly marked for their final destination. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualification/Requirements: 1 to 2 years of clerical experience, preferred. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Knowledge in construction materials and supplies, preferred. Experience in logistics related to shipment of goods is preferred. Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
