This position works Monday - Friday day shift while in training, then Sunday 4:00am-12:30pm and Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm,once fully trained. The hourly rate is $22.90 and a $2,000 sign and stay bonus is also offered.

Receives Customer product through acceptance or unloading shipping container; processes all applicable documentation in an accurate manner.

Warehouses incoming Customer product by transferring product to unprocessed storage area in a safe manner.
Maintains an organized dock area through controlling the trailer storage area. Prepares product for shipment by retrieving Customer product from processed area and staging shipping area; prepares accurate shipping documentation; loads product into shipping container or transfers small packages to delivery service. Ensures shipment of product within shipping deadline by maintaining contact with Customer transportation personnel and with vendor and internal facility staff. Contributes to maintaining a safe and clean working environment by performing routine area housekeeping and reporting any unsafe conditions to facility management. Contributes to efficient processing operations by assisting Material Handlers as needed. Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP and other directives. Communicates in an effective manner by utilizing accepted business practices in a courteous and professional manner to provide timely and accurate responses and service oriented offers of assistance. Protects company confidential information by properly storing, retrieving and disseminating such information only to those authorized. Title: Warehouse Assistant
Summary:
Warehouse Assistant for a rapidly growing multinational valve manufacturing company. Candidate will keep inventory properly labeled and organized in warehouse as well as load and unload freight trucks.
Candidate needs to have forklift experience, strong work ethic, penchant for accuracy and clear communication skills. Depending on the skill and/or educational level, the position offers growth opportunities.
Job Purpose:
Accurately store incoming inventory and ensure outbound freight is properly dispatched.
Duties:
* Safely offload incoming deliveries (UPS, Freight, etc.) by hand, reach truck, pallet jack, and/or fork lift as necessary.
* Work with Warehouse Manager to unpack, inspect, and count incoming inventory to match with Purchase Orders.
* Work with Warehouse Manager and the inventory database system to properly identify, label, and store inventory in warehouse.
* Help Assemblers to find inventory in warehouse and gather parts as needed.
* Break down and/or repair damaged crates and pallets.
* Help Shipping Manager to inspect, pack, and properly label finished products for outbound shipments.
* Help Shipping Manager to arrange outbound shipments (UPS, Freight, etc.)
* Safely load outbound shipments (UPS, Freight, etc.) by hand, reach truck, pallet jack, and/or fork lift as necessary.
* Keep the warehouse environment clean and organized by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Required to be able to lift 80lbs and to use all tools, machinery, and cranes according to stated safety regulations.
* Assist in other duties as they present themselves or as assigned by a Supervisor.
Required Skills:
Forklift certification; wood-working and crating skills; experience loading and unloading freight; experience with packing materials; mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills; quality inspection experience; sound judgment; excellent communication, organization and time management skills; self-motivated; results and goal oriented; absolute accuracy in all areas of responsibility; will require body strength and candidate will handle large components.
