Job Description
The Warehouse Specialist supports the order fulfillment and inventory teams by ensuring incoming product is accurately and efficiently placed throughout the warehouse. Associates move inventory, downstock, support inventory integrity, and support efficient pick flow.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Unload, stock, sort, label, replenish, audit, etc.
Performs, stocking, housekeeping and safety functions
Checks, verifies and audits merchandise to ensure that merchandise has been received and is as ordered and not damaged or defective
Receives, counts and records stock data.
Pack, unpack, and upload location and count into inventory system
Verify computations against physical count of stock. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects
Use tow motor for inventory management throughout the day
Reports to the Department Manager
Physical Requirements:
Frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for up to 8 hours daily
Occasionally required to sit and climb portable stairs and in and out of tow motor
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally move more than 100 pounds
Ability to work in high heat, humidity, or cold, tolerate strong or unpleasant odors, and at times dusty environment

DUTIES :
Assists in the daily operation of E-Commerce customer order fulfillment.
Performs warehouse work involving receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise. Verifies incoming and outgoing shipping documents. May use automated material identification equipment such as bar code, wands, computer terminals, and laser scanners to select storage locations of items being shipped or received. Works under guidance of the E-Commerce Distribution Center Manager who provides general instruction on repetitive assignments and specific guidance, including written instructions on new operations or procedures. Work is periodically spot-checked.
Performs housekeeping tasks such as cleaning floors, fixtures, etc., as needed in the areas assigned. Duties may also include minor maintenance and miscellaneous duties in order to ensure the facility is maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.
Welcomes customers and maintain product knowledge. Reacts to all concerns of customers quickly. Communicates information regarding product availability. Upholds predefined customer services standards.
Complies with established safety standards, emergency preparedness requirements and all policies regarding loss prevention and is proactive regarding shrink.
Work is performed inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted. Exposed to possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock.

Warehouse Worker - 2nd Shift
Warehouse assistant job in Wadsworth, OH
2nd Shift: 3:00p - 11:00p (M-F) Ensures the smooth, accurate, and consistent flow of materials to and from the staging lanes to support production, receiving, and shipping operations. You have the responsibility as an employee at Akro-Mils to make a good quality product to exceed our customer expectations. Duties and Responsibilities

Required - Experience with picking and put-away
Determine storage area for finished product prior to shipment
Verify bar code move ticket and product is the same for inventory control.
Clean work area, such as removing banding, shrink-wrap material, and pallets to maintain safety.
Compare stock numbers and color of product with customer's order and other identifying data.
Load container cars or trucks and stack cartons by hand
Packaging finished goods with spacers and padding for quality shipping
Prepare a tally sheet to verify count and identify where product is located in the truck.
Assemble cardboard containers or select preassembled containers to pack product.
Complete a transition work order when transferring inventory
Pull orders and print packing lists for all shipments
Post weights and measurements for shipments during processing.
Forklift use - accessing the warehouse racks, transporting products safely, proper stacking, loading dry van containers.
Hand-held scanners - used to find product, pick orders and maintain labels within the department.
Computers- updating shipping documents, printing labels, processing shipments with drivers.
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED; required.
Previous warehouse experience and/or shipping experience; required.
Well organized, forward-thinker, good communicator.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors or employees of our organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
