Full-time Description
The Grocery Clerk is first and foremost responsible for customer relations and satisfaction. SOME ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adequately accepts, orders, receives, prepares, packages, labels, displays, stocks, replenishes floor stock and inventories merchandise.

Prioritizes time to ensure that prep work, stocking, cleaning, and customer service are handled efficiently.
Creates and maintains an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store by providing excellent customer service.
Assists in inventory counts, storewide cleaning, and other projects as needed.
Reinforces safety within the store by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management or addressing the concern if appropriate.
Practices preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store team leader of any items in need of repair.
Ensures federal, state, local and La Montañita Food Cooperative regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, sanitation and weights and measures are being adhered to and met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Remove completed Pallets from Fill Station.
· Verify correct weight of product.
· Verify that correct product is in the correct bag, on the correct pallet for shipping.
· Staging Product for Shipping or Inventory, as necessary.
· Stretch Wrap completed Product Pallets, as necessary.
· Prepare Pallets for shipping
· Load Dry Vans with Finished Product
· Must be open to work overtime and weekends, as necessary.
· Adhering to safety policies.
· Optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance
· Other duties, as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
· Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure alignment with plant and company goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a fast pace; nonstop job and you will be busy throughout your shift.
This position will be in a heavy, industrial environment. May require lifting to 50 pounds.
Proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as necessary.
Successful passing of Drug Screen and fit for duty physical is required for initial employment.
Additionally, CR Minerals has a “zero tolerance policy” and enforces random drug screens. This is an MSHA regulated facility and Safety is our priority. All required safety training will be provided prior to starting work.
