Properly identifies items and validates received quantities. Logs and issues materials to the stockroom, warehouse, or other designated location. Essential Functions: Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders. Checks goods for damage and expiration dates. Identifies and accounts for all histamine products (seafood only). Sorts, counts, and checks received items. Maintains required clerical records and completes housekeeping activities. Operates warehouse equipment as needed to move goods to storage areas and places in designated locations. Identifies damaged packaging and/or possible cross contaminated products. Performs returns. Maintains and rotates cooler and freezer (USDA only). Inventory control (USDA only). Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
