The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Beaumont, Texas area: WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN - BOX BUILDER MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS (DAYS AND NIGHTS)
Successful candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year of continuous and current experience as a Warehouse Technician in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. It is the responsibility of the Box Builder to inspect and assemble metal reusable containers or assemble different cardboard containers to be able to provide quality packaging of the client's products being shipped to domestic or foreign customers. Each Box Builder is expected to work safe and reject any defective containers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect/accept responsibility for all containers prepared prior to performing additional container preparation
Inspect OTD containers for structural integrity and to process satisfactory containers only
Check doors and latches on boxes and reject problem boxes
Install inner liners in such a manner that allows the robot to package the container without pulling the liner inside the container
Must control housekeeping in and around the designated Box Preparation area
Must understand daily production sheet and meet the needs of the upcoming shift
Communicate material needs to forklift operator and Team Leader
Must be able to distinguish between different box parts, including pallets, inner liners, ladders, and ladder positioning, outers, lids, and dust covers/poly liners for metal containers
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This positions requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
