Packages shipments using care with appropriate containers, protective inserts/padding, etc. Loads and unloads material and goods from incoming trucks using material handling equipment. Moves, stores and spaces materials as directed. Inspects/maintains warehouse equipment and supplies. Assemble wooden or cardboard containers. Cuts material on vertical band saw. Chamfers material on grinder or belt sander. Uses hand truck to transport materials. Receives training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment. Share information and collaborate for process improvement throughout the shop. Accurately count pieces of material. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Performs all work safely and efficiently. Performs other tasks or duties as assigned by Management SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform tasks with a full range of motion from kneeling, crouched, stooped, bent at the waist, upright and arms fully extended overhead. Must be able to lift, push, pull, up to 75 pounds. Visual acuity and accommodation are required for reading orders, machine dial gauges and precision measuring instruments. Hearing ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action. Must demonstrate to management the willingness to perform.
