As a warehouse worker you will perform an array of job functions, primarily working as a labor- intensive material handler, requiring you to manually select products listed on a customer order, palletize them, and load them onto a truck in sequential order. You may also be asked to receive product into inventory, again requiring labor-intensive handling of the product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in shipping and receiving responsibilities, unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. • Prepares orders by selecting specific items for a customer order, staging them in a designated area of the warehouse; may entail packing boxes or handling product to remove quality issues • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or on pallets according to organizational standards. • Open bales, crates and other containers. • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory. • Prepare parcels for shipping. • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and/or mop. Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Associate is primarily responsible for supporting the inventory control function by ensuring that stock and stock levels are maintained properly through the direct flow of goods into, through, and out of the organization. A Little About Your Day: From day to day, you will receive and inspect all incoming merchandise to ensure that deliveries match packing slips and to verify all items are free of defects or damage. * Hours approximately 7:00am-3:30pm * You will count and record data manually/electronically on items and then label the merchandise with appropriate stock and inventory control codes so they can be moved and stocked in appropriate locations. * Runs daily inventory reports on item balance for every branch to update system and balance stock levels. * Maintains and runs previous day back order report daily through an Excel spreadsheet * Reviews back order reports daily and resolve any discrepancies by physically checking stock levels on the shelf. . Order Picking (80%): Review regular orders (paper) and Pick Lists (RF Gen), pick materials utilizing forklift throughout warehouse and assemble in a staging lane. Ensure safety protocols are always followed. 2. Housekeeping (10%): Ensure aisles & rack locations are clean of debris and empty pallets. 3. Forklift Inspections (5%): Pre-shift and post-shift inspection of forklift to ensure properly maintained and any necessary repairs are escalated. 4. Inventory Audit (5%): Assist in annual inventory audit. Perform product counts and log. 5. Order Loading/Un-Loading (10%): Assist with loading of completed orders onto trucks, delivery carriers and/or customer pickups. Assist with order unloading of LTL Carriers and truck loads. Perform receiving duties for orders being delivered - ensure items orders are actually received, inform purchaser of any discrepancies. Stock items located in the warehouse or deliver to purchasing party. Correct any Purchase Order discrepancies. Document discrepancies and maintain shipping documentation. Assist Procurement & Accounts Payable regarding Purchase Orders/Invoices issues and corrections. Work with Customer Service and QC team to process RMA's and carrier returns.
